Race Team Update – May 2025 Week #4

As the month of May approaches the finish line, the JConcepts race team keeps things rolling by taking podium spots around the globe. Read about our latest success in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in Cocoa, FL where Beachline Raceway is located at. Last weekend was the finals for their 2025 Carpet Wars series, and after the season points were tallied up team driver Maccoy Martin would take home 1st place in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Heading north we now visit The Barn RC Raceway in Barnsville, GA. This track hosted the ROAR Region 3 Off-Road 1/8 Regionals so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Jason Westfall. He reported that he competed in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he finished 4th overall!

Fellow JC pilot Randy Enger was also throwing down laps at this event and he would take home the double TQ and W in the 40+ 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes!

Now we head to North Carolina to see how the team finished up at several RC competitions taking place throughout the state. Our first stop is at Turn and Burn Hobby & Raceway in Winston-Salem. Last weekend they held a Memorial Day trophy race, and team driver Marlowe Bright would sign up for the Pro 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes along with 1/8 Electric Truggy. When the dust had settled he would finish 7th overall in e buggy, plus the TQ and win in the nitro buggy and e truggy classes! His son Carter would also race in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and finish strong with a 6th place finish! Also competing at this race was JC driver Derrick Harris. He registered for the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1/8 Electric Truggy classes, and he would finish the event with a 6th place finish in e buggy and 2nd place overall in e truggy!

Our next stop in the state is in the city of Waccamaw where the Benton BTS Arena Center is located. This facility hosted the RC Carolina Cup dirt oval event, and team driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. was throwing down fast left turn laps as he would take the TQ and win in the 13.5 and 12T Mudboss classes!

Our final stop in the state is at Thunder Alley RC Speedway in Lucama. They also hosted a trophy event over the three day weekend, and team driver Josh Parrish would take the TQ and win in the 21.5 Touring Car class!

Heading up the coast line we now visit Pete’s Pro RC Raceway and Training Facility in Danville, VA. This track hosted Round 1 of the VCS (Virginia Off-Road Championship Series), and team driver Layton Miskolczi just missed the bump spot to the A Main in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class, while his dad Brian made the finals and would finish 10th overall!

Also competing at this race was JConcepts driver Maddy Long. She competed in the Expert 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes, and she would finish 2nd in e buggy plus take home the win in the nitro class! Joining her on the nitro podium in 2nd place was fellow JC driver Jake Stikeleather!

Cutting the corner we now make a beeline to RC Madness in Enfield, CT for our next report. This past Sunday they held their Turf Shootout trophy race, and team driver Eric Bresnahan would finish 8th in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class with a DNF in the main, but he had better luck in the Mod Stadium Truck class as he finished 2nd overall!

Heading back west we now visit Dillon’s RC Raceway in Corning, OH for this quick report from JC driver Wade Piggott. This past weekend he competed in their Spring Mayhem race, and he would finish the 1/8 Electric Buggy class with DNF in the finals, but he bounced back in the 1/8 Nitro class as he took the tone to tone win! Joining him on the nitro podium in 2nd place was JConcepts driver Nathan Clark!

Moving up to Michigan we now visit Sandpit RC in the city of Jonesville. There we find team driver Kyle King as he recently competed in their Memorial Day trophy race. When the event was over he would finish 2nd overall in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Leaping over Lake Michigan we now splash down in New Franken, WI where Dirt Heaven Hobby & Raceway is located at. This past weekend they held their Memorial day challenge on their outdoor track so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Ryan Derenne.

He competed in two classes and would finish with a DNF in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class, but had better luck in the Mod Stadium Truck class as he finished 6th overall!

Also throwing down laps for the team at this race was JC driver Tyler Aubart. He competed in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class and would finish in 5th place!

JC pilot Richie Peters signed up for two classes at this event. He would take the TQ and W in the Mod Stadium Truck class, plus he picked up a 2nd win in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Sending it south into Illinois we catch up with team driver David Fast. This past weekend he went to Cedar Bluff Raceway in Delavan for Round 1 of the Elite Dirt Oval Series that saw 206 entries! He competed in two classes and finished in the lower mains for Late Model and 12th overall in the Sprint Car class!

Moving west again we stop in at Taylor Park RC Raceway in Yukon, OK for this quick update from team driver Tyler Keel. This track put on a trophy event last weekend and he would finish 8th overall in the Open Sprint class!

Our next stop is at SDRC in San Diego, CA. This past weekend was the finals for their 2025 Supercross Series, and team driver Chris Raceles would be crowned the series champion in both the 40+ Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes!

Heading north we now get a few updates from the team competing at different tracks in the state of Washington. Our first report is from JC driver Tyler Wilbur as he recently competed in Round 2 of the DieHard RC outdoor series that took place in the town of Snohomish. He competed in three classes and finished the round with excellent results as he took the win in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes, plus the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

The other event taking place in the state was Round 2 of the Northwest Championship which is also known as the Hank Perry 240. Team driver Shane Preugschat had some bad luck in the finals for the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class as he finished with a DNF, but he bounced back in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class as he locked up the 2nd podium spot! Taking the win in the nitro truggy class was JConcepts driver McCoy Starkey!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of international team driver Harel Senderov. Recently he competed at the Omer London Cup in Israel, and he would leave the event with victories in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes, plus the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!
