Race Team Update – June 2025 Week #1

As the calendar rolls into a new month it is still the same old story on the track as the JConcepts race team continues to collect wins around the globe. Read all about it in this week’s Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out west in sunny California. This past weekend was Round 3 of the JBRL 1/8 Series that took place at Good Ol’Boyz RC Club Raceway in the city of Bakersfield. Team driver Collin Beaver was in attendance and he would finish 2nd on the podium in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

Moving north we get this quick update from team driver Evan Roeth. He recently competed at Skagit River Raceway in Burlington, WA for their season opener, and he would get off to a great start with a TQ and W in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Crossing the stateline we now make our way to Eagle Hills Racing Association (EHRA) in Eagle, ID. Last weekend they hosted their 10th annual 1/10 Spring Shootout event, and JConcepts driver Jerry Walter would finish 4th in Mod 4wd Buggy, plus he would yeet the competition in the Vintage 2wd class as he took the win! For his win the vintage class he also received a WWE themed championship belt too!

Next, we head down to Overlook Raceway in White Rock, NM for this quick update from JC pilot Tony Hinojosa. He recently competed at this facility for their annual King Of The Hill trophy event. He would finish 3rd in the 1/8 Electric Truggy classes, set the TQ and finish 2nd overall in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class, plus he competed in a dirt oval competition and would come away with the TQ and win!

Heading east we make a beeline to ELDO RC Raceway in El Dorado, AR. This track hosted the opening round of the ArkLaMiss series, so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Peyton Jaynes. He reported that he would finish 3rd for the day in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class! Joining him on the e buggy podium were fellow JC drivers Calvin Bruce (2nd) and Braden Bruce (TQ & 1st) to complete the JConcepts podium sweep!

Speaking of Braden he would also grab another TQ & W in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! He was joined on the podium by his tire teammate Drew Spurgeon!

Moving north we now visit Leighton Speedway in Leighton, IA. Last weekend they hosted the 2nd Annual Wild Bill’s Classic, so let’s see how the team finished up starting with JConcepts driver David Fast.

He competed in the 360 and 410 Sprint classes along with Late Model, and when the dust had settled he would just miss the transfer spot to the A Main for Late Model, grabbed 4th place in the 360 class, and he would set the TQ then finish 5th overall in the 410 class!

Also running left turn laps for the team was his tire teammate Jeremy Cathlina. When the event was over he would finish 7th in the 410 Sprint class along with a 6th place finish in Late Model!

Heading up I-35 we now make our way to the RC Underground in Warren, MN.

Last weekend was Round 1 of their Summer Series, and team driver Marco Moreno is off to a hot start as he finished 2nd in 1/8 Electric Buggy, set the TQ and finished 2nd in Mini Truggy, plus would grab another TQ then drive on to take the win in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Wiggling our way into Wisconsin let’s get a few updates from the team competing at different tracks. Starting with the team driver Tyler Aubart this past weekend he went to Ricks Hobby Farm in New Richmond to compete in their 3rd points race, and he would drive to finish 1st overall in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Staying in the state we now turn to Dirt Heaven Hobby & Raceway in New Franken. The team was competing on their outdoor track for the second to last time since this facility would be sadly closing soon. So the JConcepts team made sure this track was going out in style as we had many drivers competing at this race.

Starting with team driver Ryan Derenne he reported that he finished 9th in the Mod Stadium Truck class, while over in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class he would settle for a 6th place finish!

His tire teammate Richie Peters was also throwing down laps at this race, and he would finish 2nd in 1/8 Electric Buggy, plus he picked up a TQ and win the Mod Stadium Truck class!

Also competing for the team was JC driver Steve Richter. He registered for the 1/8 Electric Truggy class where he would take the win!

On to Ohio we now stop in at TARCAR in the city of Toledo. This past weekend they hosted their Nitro vs. Electric Shootout race so let’s check in with the team to see how we finished up.

Starting with team driver Mark Henry he reported that he finished 5th overall in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Team driver Mike Legue competed in three classes and he had a dominating weekend. He would set the TQ in the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes as well as 1/8 Nitro Buggy! Then he would drive on to take all three wins, plus he picked up a cash purse valued at over $550! Joining him on the nitro podium to complete the JConcepts sweep were team drivers Michael Rinke (2nd) and Chuck Berg (3rd)! Michael would also lock up the 2nd spot on the podium for the 1/8 Electric Buggy class while Chuck would take home the win in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Heading back out east we stop in at Riverview RC Raceway in Jersey Shore, PA. Last weekend was their season opener, and team driver Matt Adams was ready to roll. He competed in three classes and just missed the bump spot for the 360 Sprint class, but in the 17.5 Late Model and Midget Sprint classes his cars were on point as he took the double TQ and win!

Now let’s some updates from our International team starting with Australian team driver Lachlan Munday. Last weekend he competed at the Mildura RC club Mallee Madness for Round 2 of the Victorian drives series.

He competed in three classes and would take the win in Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy plus Mod Stadium Truck!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of Israelian team driver Harel Senderov, He recently competed at an event in Spain and he would finish 2nd in the D finals for 1/8 Electric Buggy, plus he finished 5th overall in the Junior division!
