Six months into 2025 and the JConcepts race team shows no signs of slowing down on the track! Read about our continued winning ways in this week’s Race Team Update!
We start this week’s report out west in sunny California. The team was competing at a few different events in the state so we first hear back from team driver James Rodriguez. This past weekend he went to the city of Perris where the TheDirt Racing is located. They held their inaugural Dirt Oval Championships and he kicked off the event in style with a TQ and 2nd place finish in the Mod Sprint class!

Our second tour stop in Cali is at Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway in Victorville. Last weekend was their 15th annual JConcepts Mid Summer Shootout, and team driver Gary Slater reported that he took the TQ and W in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!
Team driver Sammy Moran was also at this event and he put in some killer results!

- Mod 4wd Buggy = TQ and 2nd place
- Mod 2wd Buggy = 2nd place

Moving north we now stop in at Snohomish, WA to see how the team finished up at Round 3 of the Diehard RC Dirt Series. Team driver Evan Roeth was in attendance and he reported that he set the TQ then drove on to finish 3rd overall! Also joining him on the podium were fellow JC pilots Tyler Wilbur (1st) and Ashon Bristol (2nd) to complete the JConcepts podium sweep!

Next, we make a diagonal over to Sweetwater R/C Park in Rock Springs, WY. There we find team driver Shane Wheeler who was competing in their dirt oval Wyoming State Championship event.
He competed in four classes with excellent results!
- Late Model = TQ and 1st place
- Midwest Mod = TQ and 1st place
- Mod Sprint = TQ and 2nd place
- Midget Sprint = TQ and 2nd place
He also earns our coveted ‘ironman’ award this week for competing in the most classes at one event!

Crossing the state line we now head to the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha, NE. Last weekend was Round 2 of their Summer Points Series so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver and Plex race director Alex Sturgeon. He competed in two classes and would double down with two TQs and wins in the 13.5 Stadium Truck and 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy classes! Joining him on the truck podium to complete the JConcepts sweep were fellow team drivers Conner Herrick (2nd) and TJ Williams (3rd)!
Connor would also finish 2nd in the Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy class along with the win in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class! Joining him on the podium to complete another JConcepts sweep were fellow team drivers Dalton Conradt (2nd) and TJ Williams (3rd)!
Dalton would grab the TQ in both the Expert 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes, plus pick up the win in wheeler! Joining him on the podium to complete yet another JConcepts sweep were fellow team drivers Conner Herrick (2nd) and TJ Williams (3rd) again!
Team driver Mason Herrick competed in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes and he would finish 2nd in 2wd plus picked up the win in the 4wd class! Joining him on the Mod wheeler podium in 2nd place was JC pilot Andrew Thomas!

Sending it south we now catch up with JConcepts driver Colton Jones. This past weekend he went to Shaw’s RC Track in Ardmore, OK to compete in Round 5 of the Red River Shootout Series that saw 178 entries! He would finish the round with the win in the Sportsman 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Moving on to Missouri we visit the town of Neosho where Chicken Dinner Raceway is located at. This past weekend they held their Nitro Mania event that brought out 159 entries!
Team driver Jake Stoeltzing competed in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes along with Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy. He would finish 2nd overall in all three classes which gave him the overall win in the expert classes!
Also competing at this race for the team was JC driver Noah Hicklin, and he would take home 1st place in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Heading north we now visit Trackside Hobbies and Raceway in Brookfield, WI. Last weekend was Round 2 of their 21.5 Sweet Heat Summer Series, and team driver Tyler Aubart would finish in 10th place!

The next day he went to Dirt Heaven Hobby and Raceway in New Franken for their Last One trophy event at their current location that saw over 170 entries!
He would qualify 4th overall in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class before mother nature decided to end the event early.
Also competing at this final event was team driver Ryan Derenne. He would qualify 12th overall in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class, plus 5th overall in the Stadium Truck class before the race got rained out!

Heading out east we get our next update from team driver Antonio Caputo. This past weekend he went to DPRC (Dynamic Performance R/C) in Lyndonville, VT to race in their Juggernaut trophy event. He would finish the race with a 2nd place finish in 1/8 Electric Buggy, plus the TQ and W in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Jason Westfall. This past weekend he raced in Round 2 of the SHRL (SNAP HARD Racing League) at the Easley RC Complex in Easley, SC, and he would finish 2nd in Mod 4wd Buggy and 1st place in Mod 2wd Buggy!
