Race Team Update – August 2025 Week #2

The second weekend of racing in August was another winning one for the JConcepts race team! We took several wins and stacked the podium at several events around the nation which you can read for yourself in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out east at RC Madness in Enfield, CT. This track was host to the RCMTC World Finals, and we had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how they finished up starting with team driver JJ Eaton.

He reported that he locked up two 3rd place finishes in the ProMod and Challenger classes, plus he finished 2nd in the 2.2″ class! Taking the win in the 2.2″ class was fellow JC driver Sonny Santucci!

Sonny would also finish 2nd in the Retro class, and he also picked up the TQ and win in the ProMod class! Team driver Chris Ciriello took the win in the Challenger class with his Blue Thunder truck! Even JConcepts President Jason Ruona got in on the racing action as he picked up the W in the Retro class!

Our next stop is at Trains and Lanes Hobbies in Easton, PA. This past weekend they held a trophy event, and team driver David Longaker would finish 3rd overall in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

Next, we head to Virginia to get some updates form the team competing at different tracks. Our first stop is at Truth Motorsports in the city of Culpeper. This racing venue was host to Round 4 of the VCS (Virginia Off-Road Championships), and team driver Brian Miskolczi would finish 2nd overall in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class! Taking the win in this class was his tire teammate Maddy Long!

Our next stop in the state is at Coastal RC. Indoor Speedway and Hobbies in Chesapeake. This facility recently hosted Round 3 of the Battle on the Coast Series, and team driver Josh Parrish would finish 2nd overall in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Crossing the state line we now visit West Virginia and catch up with team driver Wade Piggott. This past weekend he competed at ACCEL RC in city of Gay for their Dirt Challenge trophy race. He signed up for both the Pro 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes, and when the event wrapped up he would take home the TQ and win in both classes!

Onward to Ohio we now visit TARCAR in the town of Toledo. This past weekend they hosted a round of the Tri State Series, and team driver Mark Henry let us know that he finished 4th overall in the Mod Sprint class!

Wiggling our way up to Wisconsin we now get a few updates from the team competing in different events. Up first is team driver Ryan Derenne who recently competed at The Yard RC Raceway in Luxemburg for Round 3 of their Summer Series.

He would qualify 3rd overall in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class and finish there after rain called off the rest of the event! In the Stadium Truck class he would also lock up 4th place too!

Team driver Lukas Klein recently traveled to the town of Plymouth to compete in the The Great American Crawl at Road America. He was able to take wins in the C1 and C2 classes before rain called off the rest of the event!

Sending it south we now visit the “Land of Lincoln” for this quick update from team driver Chris Parrish. This past weekend he visited Dream Fields Coliseum in city of Waterloo for another round of the OffTrack R/C points series. He registered for three classes and put in solid results!

  • Retro racing classes = Equalizer was TQ in bracket 1 with both team trucks, Equalizer and Bear Foot Racer getting to the semi finals. While in bracket 2, Bear Foot Racer again made it to the semifinals.
  • SportMod = In bracket one, TQ went to Bear Foot Racer with a final eight appearance. In SportMod bracket 2, TQ went to Equalizer, and 2nd Bear Foot Racer for a 1-2 sweep as Bear Foot Racer carried the momentum to the Finals!
  • ProMod = Indominus went to round 4 while Boss Fight made it to the final round.

Moving into Missouri we catch up team driver Wes Miravalle. This past weekend he went to St. Louis Dirt Burners in Kirkwood to race in Round 4 of the Mugen Midwest Championship Series. He signed up for the Gas Stadium Truck class where he finished 2nd overall!

Our next stop is in the state of Oklahoma where several RC events were taking place. Up first is Race Place RC in Oklahoma City. Team driver Mike Stoll recently competed in their Fast Lap Frenzy event, and he would finish with a 8th place finish in the 2wd Buggy class along with a 2nd place finish in the 4wd Buggy class!

Team driver Colton Jones competed at Shaw’s RC Track in Ardmore over the weekend for the finals to their Red River Shootout Series. He would finish 2nd for the day in the Sportsman 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, and after the season points were tallied up he would also finish 2nd overall in both classes too! His dad Jerm would also place 5th overall in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Truck class!

Our final stop in the state is at Battle Ground Speedway in the city of Muskogee. This past weekend was the finals to their Midget Invasion series, and team driver Brian Stanton competed in two classes. He would finish the round with a TQ and win in the Mod Sprint class along with a 3rd place finish in the Midget Sprint class! When the season points were added up he would also place 2nd overall in the Midget Sprint class!

Shooting down to Texas we stop in at Gulf Coast Raceway in the city of Porter. This past weekend was Round 7 of the HARC (Houston Area RC) series, and team driver Seth Germany would take the win in the Open 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Joel Rodriguez. He also competed at this most recent round, and he would wrap up the day with a 4th place finish in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! Joining him on the podium were fellow JC drivers Frosty St. Clair (3rd) and Phi-Long Nguyen (1st)!
