Race Team Update – July 2025 Week #4

The final weekend of racing in July is in the books as the JConcepts race team continues their hot streak around the nation. Read about our team success in this week’s Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out east at RC Madness in Enfield, CT. Last weekend they held their BBQ Blast trophy race, and team driver Andrew Sreckovich would set the TQ and finish 2nd in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Heading west we now stop in at the Hoosier RC Hobbyplex in New Albany, IN. Recently they held the final round of their Summer Series, and team driver Lucas Smith would claim the title in both the Mod 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Angling down to Arkansas we stop in at I-30 RC Speed Bowl in the city of Bryant.

This new facility held their first event and team driver, and race director, Drew Spurgeon would take home the TQ and W in the Open Sprint class along with an award for the best looking car!

Moving into Missouri we now visit Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO for our next update. This past Saturday was the 4th round of their Saturday Summer Series, and team driver Orlando Martinez would set the TQs in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes! After the mains were ran he would finish 2nd in wheeler and 1st place in the 17.5 class!

Heading up I-35 we now visit Send It R.C. Speedway in Adel, IA. Last weekend was their Battle For The Belts trophy race that brought out 133 entries!

Team driver David Fast was in attendance, and he reported that he would finish 4th in the 410 Sprint class along with a 3rd place finish in Late Model!

JConcepts pilot Chilly Duncan also competed in two classes, and when the dust had settled he would finish 10th in Midwest Mod and 3rd place in Street Stock!

Next, we visit The Yard RC Raceway, Luxemburg, WI for this quick report from team driver Ryan Derenne.

Last weekend he attended Round 4 of their Summer Series, and when the round wrapped up he would finish 9th in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class along with a 4th place finish in the Mod Stadium Truck class!

Heading back to the west we now visit Dakota RC in Jamestown, ND for Round 4 of their Summer Series. Team driver Marco Moreno was at this most recent round, and he would finish 5th in 1/8 Electric Truggy, 4th overall in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class, plus a TQ and win in the Mini Truggy class!

Heading up the Pacific Northwest we now stop in at Diehard RC in Snohomish, WA. Last weekend was Round 3 of their WERC Series that saw 233 entries!

Team driver Shane Preugschat registered for three classes, and he would finish the race with a 7th place finish in Open 1/8 Nitro Buggy, a 4th place finish in 1/8 Nitro Truggy, and 2nd overall in Master’s 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Now let’s head to sunny California to see how the team finished up at different events taking place throughout the state.

Starting in the city of Perris we visit the Dirt Race Park for their Saturday night dirt oval opener that brought out 111 entries! Team driver Michael Letcher competed in the Slash Modified spec class where he finished in 1st place!

His tire teammate Gary Slater would finish in 5th place in the 13.5 Sprint class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Chris Raceles. This past Saturday he went to SDRC in San Diego to compete in the opening round of their 2025 Endless Summer series, and he would double dip with two TQs and wins in the 40+ Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes!
