Race Team Update – September 2025 Week #1

One week of racing is in the books for the month of September and the JConcepts race team continues their wining ways which you can read about in this new installment of the JConcepts Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out east at Adrenaline RC Raceway in Winchester, VA.

This past weekend they held their Vintage Off-Road Nationals and it was successful weekend for team driver Chris VanRaemdonck!

  • Vintage 2wd Buggy – TQ and 1st place
  • Vintage Stadium Truck – TQ and 1st place
  • 1997 – 2004 4wd Buggy – 1st place
  • 2000 Rear Motor 2wd Buggy – TQ and 1st place
  • 4wd Buggy – TQ and 1st place

That is quite an impressive feat and he also earns our coveted ‘ironman’ award this week for running the most classes at a single RC event!

Sending it south we now stop in at SS Hobbies & Raceway in Tampa, FL. Last weekend they hosted Round 5 of the FRCC (Florida RC Championship) 1:10 Series that saw 125 entries! Team driver Carter Gonzalez would grab the double TQ and W in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes, and joining him on the 17.5 2wd podium were fellow JC drivers JR Mitch (2nd) and Edwin McTureous (4th)!

Crossing the state line we now visit Loganville RC Complex in Loganville, GA. This past weekend they held their Double Dragon double header race, and JC pilot Jason Westfall would elbow the competition to take home the 1st place hardware in the Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Heading west we now stop in at Pit Stop RC Raceway in Wisner, LA. This past weekend they hosted Round 3 of the Ark-La-Miss series, and team driver William Ables would secure 1st place after running AAA mains for the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Shooting over to Texas now we stop in at Mike’s Gulf Coast RC Raceway in the city of Porter. They hosted Round 8 of the Houston Area RC Series, and JConcepts driver Brian Henn would finish the day with a solid 4th place finish in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Crossing the state line we now visit Arcor Raceway in Albuquerque, NM. This past weekend they held their Tumbleweed Classic, and team driver Tony Hinojosa reported that he would finish 8th overall in the 1/8 Nitro and Electric Truggy classes, while his son Diego locked up 5th place in Sportsman 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Next, we visit Taylor Park RC Raceway in Yukon, OK. Team driver Tyler Keel competed in their 7th dirt oval points series, and he would finish the round with a 1st place finish in the Open Sprint class!

Moving over to Missouri we now visit Dirt Burners in the town of Kirkwood. This track held their Protek RC Midwest Nitro Challenge that brought out 261 entries!

Team driver Christopher Craig competed in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and he would finish 10th overall in the A Main final!

Team driver Wes Miravalle also competed in this class along with Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy, and he would finish in the lower mains in both classes, but still had a great time competing, plus a great job in organizing this event!

Next, we head to the ‘Land of Lincoln’ where a few different RC events were taking place. Our first update comes to us from team driver David Fast who traveled to Cedar Bluff Raceway in the city of Delavan. On Saturday they hosted their Battle at the Bluff trophy race and he would finish in the lower mains for Late Model, a DNF in the A Main for 410 Sprint along with a 3rd place finish in the 360 Sprint class!

Team driver Lukas Klein visited a private campground in Seneca called Woodsmoke Ranch where Rancher’s Raceway is located. He signed up for two classes and he would come home with two 1st place finishes in 2wd and 4wd Short Course Truck!

Our final event in Illinois took place at Dream Fields Raceway in Waterloo. This venue hosted the Offtrack R/C summer season finale and team driver Jeremy Mark was ready to crush the competition. After the dust had settled he would capture 1st place in the Retro class series! He would also finish 2nd in the series in the Sport and Pro Modified classes!

Also competing at the finals was his tire teammate Chris Parrish. He would trade places with Jeremy as he finished 2nd overall in the series points for the Retro class, but he would also take home 1st overall in the Sport and Pro Modified classes!

Moving north again we stop in at Beyond the Creek RC Raceway in Swartz Creek, MI. This past weekend they held their Just Send It Trophy event, and team driver Ilan Sanderson would take home 1st place in both the 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes!

Joining him on the nitro buggy podium in 2nd place was fellow JC driver Kyle King! Kyle would also net himself another 2nd place finish in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class too!

Leaping over Lake Michigan we splash down at The Yard RC Raceway Luxemburg, WI. This past weekend was Round 5 of their Summer Series and we had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how they finished up starting with team driver Ryan Derenne.

He reported that he would finish 4th in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class, plus a TQ and 2nd place finish in Mod Stadium Truck!

JConcepts driver Steve Richter registered for two classes, and at the end of the day he would finish 5th in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1st place in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

JC driver Richie Peters signed up for the 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he finished 3rd overall!

Moving into Minnesota we now get this update from team driver Marco Moreno. Last weekend he attended the 5th and final round for the RC Underground 2025 Summer Series in the city of Warren. When the dust had settled he would finish 2nd overall in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class and 1st place in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Evan Roeth. This past weekend he attended the Electric Inferno race that took place in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. He entered the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, and when the event was over he would come home with the double TQ and win in both classes!
