Race Team Update – November 2025 Week #2

The votes are in and it was another winning weekend for the JConcepts race team! Read about our continued winning ways in this fresh edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in sunny Florida at the Don Garlits Drag Race Museum in the city of Ocala. Team driver Brian Miller recently competed there for the RCDRL finals, and after the event wrapped up he would take home the season title in the All Run bracket! His 4 year son also finished 2nd overall in the Young Gunner class too!

Moving up to the Northeast we now stop in at Dynamic Performance RC in Littleton, NH. This past weekend they held a trophy event, and team driver Matthew Sousa was on fire as he took the TQ and W in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes along with another top finish in the Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Now we make our way to Pennsylvania for this quick update from team driver JJ Eaton. Last weekend was the Central PA Monster Truck November trophy race, and he was ready to crush the competition as he secured two 2nd place finishes in the Retro and 2WD classes, plus two 1st place finishes in the ProMod and Challenger classes!

Next, we bounce over to the Hoosier state for our next update. Team driver Wesley Gifford went to Hoosier RC Hobbyplex in the town of New Albany last weekend for their opening round of their Winter Points series.

He got off to a great start as finished 2nd in Mod 2wd Buggy along with the TQ and win in the Mod 4wd Buggy class!

Heading north we now make out way to Larry’s Performance RC in Shelby Township, MI. This facility hosted the 2nd round of the Midwest Carpet Series and we had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how they finished up starting with team driver Geoffrey Ketler.

He reported that he registered for three classes, and when the racing was done he would finish in the B Main for Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy, 4th place in 13.5 Short Course Truck and 3rd place in 13.5 Stadium Truck!

Team driver Kris Norlock also signed up for the 13.5 Short Course Truck class where he would take the TQ and win!

Also throwing down hot laps at this event was his tire teammate Brandon Marsh. He also raced in three classes and would finish the round with wins in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy, 13.5 4wd Buggy and 13.5 Stadium Truck, plus he also set the TQ in 13.5 wheeler too!

Leaping over Lake Michigan we now splash down at Dollar Hobbyz in Woodbury, MN. Last weekend was Round 3 of their points series, and team driver Thor Ott let us know that he would take the TQ and win in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Also competing there for the team was fellow JC pilot Christopher Malooly. He would race in two classes and set the TQ in the Expert 21.5 2wd Buggy class, and then he raced on to finish 2nd in this class along with another podium (3rd) in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Now we head down to the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha, NE. Last weekend was the opening round of their Winter points series so let’s see how the team finished up.

Team driver Brandon Kearney competed in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes, and he would finish 4th in buggy, plus pick up the TQ and W in the truggy class!

Team driver Mason Herrick raced in both the Expert 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes where he finished 2nd in both! Joining him on the nitro buggy podium to complete the podium sweep were his tire teammates Drew Rubenking (1st) and Mitchell Pavel (3rd)! Drew would also take the W in the e buggy class and Mitchell would finish 5th in that class too!

Shooting down to Texas we now get this quick update from team driver Brian Henn. Last weekend he went to Oatesified Offroad RC Raceway in San Antonio to race in their Halloween Hoedown trophy race that got moved back two weeks due to weather. He raced in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes and would finish 3rd overall in both!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Gary Slater. Last weekend he went to Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway in Victorville, CA to compete in their 2025 Fall Classic. When the dust had settled he would finish 3rd in 17.5 2wd Buggy, plus netted the TQ and W in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!
