Race Team Update – November 2025 Week #3

Three weekends into November the JConcepts race team continues to gobble up the competition on tracks around the globe. Read about our winning ways in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in Tampa, FL. Last weekend SS Hobbies And Raceway held a special birthday trophy event, and team driver Carter Gonzalez finished 2nd overall in 1/8 Electric Buggy! Joining him on the podium in 1st place was his tire teammate Kenny Setser!

Crossing the state line we now make our way to Lil Cochran R/C Speedway in Cochran, GA. This past week they held their 4th Annual Turkey Run trophy race, and team driver Justin Sherman would finish 5th overall in the 17.5 Late Model class!

Jumping the state line again we now land in South Carolina and make our way to the city of Sumter where Sumter RC Raceway is located. This past weekend they held a special Toys For Tots trophy event that brought out over 150 entries! Team driver Maddy Long competed in two classes and she would end the event with a 2nd place finish in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy along with the win in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! Her father Rusty would also grab the W in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class too!

Next, we head north to Pennsylvania to get a few updates from team drivers competing at different events in the state. Our first update comes to us from JC driver Matt Adams. This past weekend he went to The Factory RC Raceway in the city of York to throw down some left turn laps at the opening round of their Winter Points Series. At the end of the round he would just miss the transfer spot to the A Main in the Sprint Car class, and in the Midget Sprint class he would make the main and finish 8th overall!

Staying in the state we now head over to Waynesboro where 997 RC Raceway is located at. This past weekend they held a points series event, and JC pilot Ben Decker is off to a hot start as he took the triple TQ and win in the Expert 17.5 and Mod 2wd class along with 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Now we head back west and touch down at Trackside Hobbies & Raceway in Brookfield, WI.

This past Saturday night was Round 3 of their Saturday Night Fever series, and team driver Tyler Aubart was in attendance as he finished a solid 4th overall in the Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Crossing the state line again we now move out of Wisconsin and make our way to Dilworth, MN where FMRC (Fargo Moorhead Radio Control) Raceway is located at. This past weekend was Round 2 of their Winter Point Series, and JConcepts driver Marco Moreno was starting to heat things up as he finished 3rd in 13.5 4wd Buggy along with a TQ and win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class, plus another W in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Now we shoot down to Texas to check in on the team competing at different RC events. We first start with JC driver Kevin Mcnatt who was in the town of Palestine where Thunderbird RC Speedway is located at. This track held the SJD Southern Nationals, and he would take home 1st place in the SC Mod class!

Also competing for the team in the Street Stock class was his tire teammate Kevin Lenderman who finished 3rd overall!

Our next stop in the state is at Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto. This past weekend they held their Masters Race trophy event, and team driver Frosty St. Clair let us know that he finished 5th in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class along with the TQ and W in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Also competing for the team at this race was fellow JConcepts driver Brian Rohde. He signed up for two Under 40 classes and would finish 9th in 1/8 Electric Buggy along with the TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Now we fly out west to sunny California for our next update. Team driver Gary Slater recently traveled to Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway in Victorville to compete Round 3 of their Winter Heat Series. He signed up or the Mod 2wd Buggy class and he would race on to finish 3rd overall!

Heading North we now make our way to the Can Am Northwest Nationals in Lynden, WA. Team driver Shane Preugschat was ready to roll at this event as he would finish 3rd in 1/8 Nitro Truggy, along with two 2nd place finishes in the Expert and 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy classes!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of JC driver Kyle Chasen. Over the weekend he competed in the Challenge Cup at Champ Stadium in Japan, and he would finish 8th in 17.5 2wd Buggy along with a TQ and win in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class!
