2026 JConcepts Chili Bowl and Mudboss Shootout Report

This past week the JConcepts Oval Team headed to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the largest dirt oval events of the year. The first weekend was the Mudboss Shootout featuring a host of RTR based and 13.5T classes followed by the Chili Bowl which takes place in conjunction with the full scale race just a few arenas over.

The Mudboss Shootout:

JConcepts was proudly the spec tire for the Mudboss Shootout with drivers in 13.5 Sprint Car and 13.5 Late Model using Ellipse tires in their compound of choice.

RC Chili Bowl:

Moving into the Chili Bowl there would be two simultaneous events going on with the Invitational class and the Open classes. Invitational would have 12 heads up rounds with randomized starts for the 21 drivers with 5/6 rounds counting for Sprint Car and for Late Model towards the final tally. The open classes would do race points with all three rounds of qualifying counting and seeding time as the tie breaker to set the grid for the main events.

JConcepts was again the proud tire sponsor this year for Outlaw and Masters Sprint with the tried and true Sprinter tread pattern.

Invitational Late Model: After 6 rounds of Invitational Late Model in a row a few drivers emerged at the front. Each driver would drop one round score before moving onto Sprint Car racing action. Tyler Hooks would lead the charge with 5 first place finishes after this portion of the event was finished.

Invitational Sprint Car: Following the 6 rounds of Invite Late Model was Sprint Car with most of the field still pushing to make the podium or the top 5. Kyle Layton would finish sprint car as the leader with 9 points, Layton would tie with Tyler Hooks but take the tie breaker for the class with one extra win to his credit.
