Race Team Update – January 2026 Week #1

The JConcepts race team hits the ground running as we roll into 2026. Read about where we were collecting hardware to start the new year in this fresh edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report at Loganville RC Complex in Loganville, GA. Towards the end of 2025 they held a special Toys For Tots event, and team driver Shay Brand would lock up the TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Next, we head to Virginia to get a few updates from the team competing in different events. Our first stop is at Adrenaline RC Raceway in the city of Winchester. They recently held a New Year’s trophy event and team driver Garrett Hawbaker would set the TQ in both the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes, then race on to finish 2nd in mod wheeler and 1st place in Mod 2wd! Taking the W in the Mod 4wd Buggy class was his tire teammate Colton Furnari, and he would also finish 1st overall in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class too!

We now head to the city of Richmond for this quick update from team driver Chris Roberts. He recently participated in a Virginia R/C Motorsports monster truck event where he would finish 3rd in ProMod and 1st place in the Retro class! Joining him on the Retro podium were his fellow JC drivers Chris (2nd) and Jayden Doyle (3rd)!

Continuing our way to the Northeast we now visit T&T Hobbies in Middletown, NY. Team driver Eric Bresnahan raced there last weekend for a special cash event, and he would finish 3rd overall in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class along with a TQ and win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

Also competing at this venue for an earlier event was team driver Jay Bless. At their recent Christmas Shootout he reported that he finished 2nd in Mod 2wd Buggy along with the TQ and 1st place in 17.5 2wd Buggy! Joining him on the 17.5 podium in 2nd place was fellow JC driver Rob Betts!

Now we make the long journey back West and stop in at Trackside Hobbies & Raceway in Brookfield, WI. They recently held a special 2026 Chili Dump trophy event that saw 249 entries! Competing for the team at this race was JConcepts driver Tyler Aubart. He let us know that he would finish 4th in Mod 2wd Buggy and 3rd place in 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Also competing for the team at this event was fellow JC driver Larry Wright IV, and he would finish 3rd overall in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Crossing the state line we now visit the RC Underground in Warren, MN. Recently they hosted Round 4 of their Winter Series, and team driver Marco Moreno was ready to roll as he finished 2nd in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes, plus a TQ and win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

Cruising down I-35 we get our next team report from JConcepts driver David Peavler. He recently competed in two separate race events held at Traction City in Webster City, IA. For the first event he would finish 2nd in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class along with a TQ and win in the 4wd Buggy class! About a week later he went back to this same track to compete in Round 3 of their points series, and when the dust had settled this time he would grab the TQ and W in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Making a diagonal to Illinois we now visit Alpha RC Raceways in the city of Carbondale.

This past weekend they hosted Round 2 of their off-road carpet series, and team driver Wes Miravalle let us know that he would lock up 2nd place in the Mod 2wd Buggy class!

We next stop in at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO for this quick update from team driver Stevie Slover. At their recent trophy event Stevie was on a mission as he would double-down with wins in both the 17.5 Buggy and 13.5 Stadium Truck classes! His dad Travis also took home hardware by finishing 2nd in Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Kicking it over to Kansas we get this quick update from team driver Matthew Pyle. He recently went to the city of Coffeyville where Onion Creek RC is located at to compete in their New Year’s Shootout dirt oval event. He signed up for two classes and would finish 5th in the 410 Sprint class and 2nd place in Open Late Model!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Gary Slater. He recently went to Coyote Hobbies Raceway in Victorville, CA to throw down laps in Round 7 of their Winter Heat series where he finished with the TQ and win in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!
