The front shock tower is one that the team enjoyed working on. The super long front shocks that arrive standard with the Stealth car needed a slightly more rigid setup. Thanks to the new forged material, the team has found its new base material for this project. The team outlined the proper fitment and replicated this to drop down on the Stealth buggy in the exact stock configuration. The forged carbon fiber stands out and works hand in hand with additional JConcepts accessories or stock components.

The vision was simple, adapt RC10B7 front 13mm shocks to this vehicle and shorten the front tower for a more streamlined look, fit, and finish. At the JConcepts factory, designer’s mocked-up angles, and hole locations to work with readily available equipment to serve form and function. The RC10B7 front shocks (available separately) work exceptionally well thanks to tuning by Ryan Maifield and the JConcepts team. The items used on this setup are listed below and available separately from Team Associated.
The new forged material in 3.0mm material has worked out well for base material on this project providing durability and flexibility for loose or bumpy track conditions. The team outlined the proper fitment and replicated this to drop down on the Stealth buggy in the exact stock locations on the bulkhead. The inner camber link hole has been recessed for potential use of 5.5mm ball-studs to help clear steering geometry. The forged carbon fiber stands out and works hand in hand with additional JConcepts accessories or stock components. The CNC machined item has a JC logo machined into carbon for authenticity.

The 3.0mm thickness material provides remarkable durability and flexible enough for low traction conditions. To use 13mm shocks, it’s necessary to move the rear tower forward 12mm by either using aluminum spacers or 3D printed spacer (not included). RC10 1989 Stealth, Forged Carbon Fiber Battery Strap – Black

Another creative item designed for the RC10 1989 Stealth car is the forged carbon fiber battery strap. This item is created without the blue color, and a JC logo is filled in with white to aggressively pop out on a team or personal building project. Created around using the #5309 JConcepts 3D printed battery box for a shorty 2s lipo, the battery strap covers the entire assembly with a clean fit. The battery strap will work with the stock RC10 battery cup assembly, but it might be necessary to drill or place the rear battery cup in a new position to allow a shorty 2s lipo.

There is nothing quite like finishing off a classic RC10 build with a carbon fiber transmission brace. JConcepts has added another forged carbon fiber item to the line-up to drop down directly on all RC10 and RC10T 3-gear stealth transmissions. For a great match, add this transmission brace to the 1989 Stealth car to match JConcepts #5306 forged carbon fiber battery brace. The brace has a vintage look and styling but added machining to give it next level appearance.
A body mount hole is already added to this brace in the forward position to fit popular vintage and current body shells on the market. The forged material in 2.5mm thickness, without the blue accents like the JConcepts battery brace match a center to rear coloring combination. Once combined with forged front and rear towers, along with top deck in blue offer the perfect complimentary looks bringing out the styling of each part individually.
