Race Team Update – February 2026 Week #1

The new month begins, but it is the same old story as the JConcepts race team continues to dominate on tracks around the globe. Read about our winning ways in this new installment of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report at the RC Underground in Warren, MN. Last weekend was Round 3 of their Winter point series, and team driver Marco Moreno put in some solid results!

  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = 1st place
  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = TQ and 4th place

Now we head to the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha for our next report. Last weekend was Round 4 of their Winter Dirt Oval series, and team driver David Fast would finish 2nd in Late Model and also take the W in the 410 Sprint class!

Now we move over to Iowa to get a few updates from the team competing at different events. We first visit Bad Fast Hobbies in Sioux City, IA. Last weekend was Round 3 of their off-road carpet series, and team driver Jake Wiggs doubled up with two TQs and wins in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes! Joining him on the 17.5 podium in 2nd place was his tire teammate Braden Koob!

Our next visit in the state is at Wolfram RC in the capitol of Des Moines. This past weekend they held a club race on Friday night, then on Saturday the doors opened for their 2026 Throwdown For Thorson trophy race which was a special event to raise money for the family of a local racer who sadly passed away.

The event nearly saw 100 entries, and team driver David Peavler would lock up the TQ and W in both the 13.5 4wd and 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy classes!

Sending it south we now stop in at a new indoor carpet off-road track called Hobby Pro Center that is located in Jefferson City, MO.

They held their 1st trophy event called the Carpet Heartbreaker, and team driver Wes Miravalle was in attendance as he qualified directly into the A Main for the Mod 2wd Buggy class where he finished 4th overall!

Taking a turn to Tennessee we now visit ROCCK Racing in Knoxville for this quick update from team driver Rylan Ruble. This past weekend they hosted the Blue Collar Dollar Tour, and team driver Rylan Ruble cashed in with two TQs and wins in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes!

Next, we visit Chehaw RC Raceway in Albany, GA. This track hosted a weather delayed 2025 Georgia Winter Champs event, and team driver Owen Simmons was ready to roll still as he took the double TQ and win in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy and Pro4 Short Course Truck classes!

Our next stop is in sunny Florida. Last weekend Dean’s All Out RC in New Port Richey hosted the 4th Annual Buggymania Race, and team driver Max Mejia would finish 2nd in 1/8 Electric Buggy along with the TQ and W in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Heading up the east coast we now stop in at World of R/C Parts & Thunder Alley R/C Speedway in Lucama, NC. Last weekend was Round 5 of their Super 7 Series, and team driver Josh Parrish let us know that he would take the win in the Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Continuing north we now visit Adrenaline RC Raceway in Winchester, VA. This past weekend they held a trophy event, and team driver Javon Mallory would take the TQ and win in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Working our way to West Virginia we now visit Ed’s RC located in the city of Parkersburg, This past weekend they hosted the Midwest Series which saw 151 entries! We had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how they finished up starting with JC pilot Brandon Marsh. He finished 2nd in 13.5 4wd Buggy along with two TQs and wins in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy and 13.5 Stadium Truck classes! Joining him on the 13.5 truck podium were fellow JC drivers Geoff Ketler (2nd), Connor Barrows (3rd) and Aaron Pendleton (5th)! Aaron also just missed the bump spot in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class, while in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class he would finish 7th overall!

Speaking of Geoff he would also finish 5th in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy, plus pick up the win in the 13.5 Short Course Truck class!

Our next stop is at Hobbytown Cincinnati RC Raceway in Cincinnati, OH. Team driver Bryson Furnish recently visit this location to compete in Round 3 of their Winter points series. He would finish 3rd in the Mini-B class along with 1st place in their Mini Short Course Truck class!

Cutting the corner we now visit RC Madness in Enfield, CT. Last weekend they held their February Freeze trophy event that saw 115 entries! JConcepts driver Jonathan Sohl just missed the bump spot in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class, while in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class he would make the final and finish 8th overall!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver William Venables. This past weekend he competed at the MKGP (Milton Keynes Grand Prix) that took place at the Centre:MK shopping center in Milton Keynes, England, and he came home with the win in the Stadium Truck class!
