Race Team Update – February 2026 Week #2

The JConcepts race team shows no love to the competition over Valentine’s Day weekend as they continue to crush them on tracks around the nation. Read more about our winning ways in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out west in sunny California. The team was competing at a few different events in the state so let’s see how they finished up starting with JC driver Kyle Layton. Last weekend was the grand opening of the Auburn RC off-road track in the city of Auburn, and he would set the TQ and finish 2nd overall in the Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Taking the win in this class was is tire teammate Doug Lariviere!

Our next stop is at SDRC in San Diego. Round 2 of their Supercross Series took place last weekend, and team driver Connor Esbeck would finish 2nd in Expert 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy along with the TQ and win in the Stadium Truck class!

Now we shoot over to Houston, TX for our next team report. Last weekend team driver Josh Rhodes released the Kraken at the 2025 Monster Jam World Finals track. This annual event takes place during the week of Monster Jam when the full scale trucks and their drivers are in town.

He would compete in the Racing class and take home the W in a field of 24 competitors!

Kicking it up to Kansas we now visit RC Pitstop & Raceway in the city of Newton. Last weekend they held their Winter Classic off-road carpet trophy event, and team driver Mason Herrick let us know that he would finish 2nd in the Mod 2wd Buggy class! Joining him on the podium was fellow JC driver Ken Peterson in 3rd place!

Moving more north we now visit Traction City RC in Webster City, IA. Last weekend was Round 4 of their points series, and team driver David Peavler doubled up at this most recent round with two TQs and wins in the Expert 17.5 2wd and Mod 4wd Buggy classes!

Moving over to Michigan we now stop in at Sandpit RC in Jonesville.

Last weekend this track held another round of their points series, and JC driver Kyle King would lock up 4th place in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Taking the TQ and win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class was fellow JC driver Tony Sosnowicz! Tony would also grab another TQ and 2nd place finish in 1/8 Electric Buggy too!

Heading to the Northeast we now stop in at DPRC (Dynamic Performance R/C) located in Littleton, NH. Last weekend this track hosted the New Hampshire Carpet Champs, and team driver Mason Montminy would lock up the final podium spot in the 17.5 2wd Buggy and Stadium Truck classes!

Now we go to New Jersey to check in with team driver Colton Furnari. He recently went to Crispy Critters Hobby Store & Raceway in Fairfield to compete in their Critters Freestyle Freeze trophy race, and he would come home with the double TQ and win in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Heading south we now get this quick update from team driver Owen Simmons. He recently competed in the Winter Throwdown at Loganville RC Complex in Loganville, GA where he finished 2nd overall in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Evan Roeth. Last weekend he traveled to the 2026 Island Off-Road Carpet Championship held in Duncan BC, Canada that saw nearly 300 entries! He competed in three classes and would set the TQ then drive on to take the win in all of them!

  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = TQ and 1st place
