In this week’s Product Spotlight we will take a closer look at some of our accessories for the TLR 22X-4 4wd buggy.
The 22X-4 burst onto the racing scene as it made its debut at the 2019 IFMAR 1:10 Electric Off-Road Worlds at the world famous Hudy Arena in Trencin, Slovakia.
The TLR team had three of these new cars at the race which added even more anticipation to this portion of the race event.
Team driver Dakotah Phend was able to pilot himself into 2nd place on the podium which is his best Worlds finish to date thus far.
Early on in 2020, Dakotah continued to rack up wins with this new vehicle at events like the 2020 Midwest Championship, Desert Classic and JConcepts Winter Indoor Nationals. So now let’s take a look at some of the latest options that we offer for this winning wheeler.
F2 Clear Body For The TLR 22X-4
First we made our popular F2 body available for this chassis. The front of the F2 incorporates the Finnisher body styling with a step down treatment for that unique look while the rear of the cab features the Finnisher V-step which makes room for an additional secondary side window.
The body also includes two Aero, S-Type rear wings, a protective film, window masks, a detailed decal sheet and is offered in either standard or lightweight body options.
TLR 22X-4 Precut Chassis Protective Sheet
One of the biggest wear components of your race vehicle is the chassis itself. So to help protect the 22x-4’s underside we started to offer a precut chassis protective sheet as an option for this buggy. The sheets are already cut to fit the chassis for you so simply peel off a fresh sheet to apply to your ride.
Two sheets are included in each package along with two additional tail sections that fit under the rear area of the car.
S2 Clear Body & S-Type Wing For The TLR 22X-4
And just recently we released our S2 body for the 22X-4. This body shell is offered in either a standard weight or lightweight option. Both options include a protective film, window masks, a detailed decal sheet and two Aero S-type rear wings. Design wise this new body uses a progressive cab design which helps to provide more front-end force for better steering and balance.
The roof line is channeled to direct the air flow through the center of the body and also increase the rigidity of the cab too. The upper side-pods use distinct vents to relieve heat build up on your electronics underneath.
