The final weekend of September, summer is over but the heat is still on with the JConcepts Team. Check out how we did in this week’s Race Team Update to find out where…
Jeremy Tooker
First up is Jeremy Tooker. Jeremy raced a No Prep Cash race hosted by SD NOPREP in San Diego. Jeremy made the final but he was up against some tough competition. Jeremy ran Gold Hotties, Ti shock standoffs, FIN turnbuckles, tactic wheels, B5 motor plate and topped it off with the JConcepts Chevelle body
Miss Bella
Next up, we travel back east. Miss Bella raced at the Kentucky Radio Controlled Racing Club in their KY State Championships race. Miss Bella says that she was very excited for this race. If she finishes first here, she would end up being a Tri-State Champion since she held a title in West Virginia and Ohio.
Miss Bella reports that her truck “felt amazing and the tires were money”. Conditions were bumpy and loamy but she was able to take TQ in the first round of qualifying and won every round there after along with winning the main!
Miss Bellas truck was equipped with Green Triple Dees, JConcepts wheels and inserts and topped off with the Finnisher body. Check out the full race report on her page HERE.

Eric Bresnahan
Now we head a bit farther east to Connecticut. Eric Bresnahan took the win at the last outdoor race of the season at RC Madness in 2wd 17.5 buggy. Eric had his buggy decked out with all the JConcepts shock accessories, FIN Turnbuckles, Hinge Pin Mounts and dialed everything in with the JConcepts Camber and Ride Height Gauges. Topped off with JC bodies, tires and wheels.
Nate Sutherland
Tim and Nate Sutherland were at Send It Raceway in Adel Iowa for some oval action. Tim reports they ran JConcepts Silver Ellipses on his sprint car and had a podium finish!
Kyle Munson
Traveling back west a bit we catch up with Team Driver Kyle Munson. Kyle raced at Dirt Junkies Raceway in Delton, MI. It was his first time visiting this track and Kyle mentioned that he “loves the old school dirt tracks in our area”.
Kyle ran both stadium truck and short course classes. Kyle reports “my TLR rides were absolutely on point with JConcepts rubber keeping them planted and providing plenty of grip all day long”.
Kyle was able to come away with the TQ and win in both classes.

Randy Enger
We now travel south to Helena, Alabama with Team Driver Randy Enger. Randy reports he attended the Warehouse Hobby Raceway Saturday club race and TQ’d and won in eBuggy. Randy said “Aqua Ellipse were awesome when the temps came up and track dried out”.
Danny Smith
Danny Smith was also at the Warehouse Hobby Raceway Saturday club race and ran Nitro Buggy. Danny qualified 2nd and took the win on Blue Detox’s.
Brandon Kearney
Heading north to Sioux City, IA we catch up with Brandon Kearney at Bad Fast Hobbies. Brandon raced the final round for Bad Fast Hobbies summer series. Took the TQ and won 13.5 4wd Buggy class. Brandon qualified 2nd in Mod Buggy and finished 2nd.
Overall for the series Brandon won the title in 13.5 4wd and finished 3rd in Mod Buggy. JConcepts Twin pins and Swaggers was used all series.
Brayden Johnston
Heading down under to Australia, Team Driver Brayden Johnston proves that no matter what, don’t give up! Brayden reports he attended the Gero 60 and had a horrible run through qualifying with multiple carb issues putting him into the C Main CQ position.
Starting in the C Final on Green Reflex tires Brayden took the win with 2 laps on the field and bumped into the B. In the B he went with Green Stalkers and quickly worked his way up the field and lapped the field once again putting him into the A main.
In the A main with a good start and some smart driving he made his way to the front of the field and found himself in a battle for the lead for about 2 pit stops until a crash put him a 1/2 a lap down. Brayden maintained the 1/2 lap gap for the rest of the race and finished up in second overall. Brayden finished up by saying, “all in all a great weekend full of lots of fun, the JC bodies and tyres preformed flawlessly”.
Robert Meyer Jr.
Back in the USA, Robert Meyer Jr. attended the Beach RC Beach Buggy Blast. Robert reported he finished 1st in 2WD Mod Buggy and 4wd Mod Buggy. Took the TQ and finished 2nd in eBuggy. Robert was on Silver Ellipse tires on all his rides.
Tyler Keel
Tyler Keel attended a club race at Taylor Park RC. Tyler took the TQ and win in Open Sprint on Green Dirt Webs and Ellipse tires.
Mike Sorchy
Mike Sorchy had a podium finish at the JBRL hosted by Rainman Hobbies. Mike stated “the truck was hooked up on sanded Silver Ellipses and looking great with the Finnisher body”.
Chase Raymond
Chase Raymond also attended the JBRL and finished with a TQ and second place. Chase ran Silver Ellipses, Carpet Wing and F2 body.
Levi Raymond
We also had Levi Raymond at Round 7 of the JBRL Electric Series. Levi would TQ 13.5 4wd and finished 3rd on sanded Silver Ellipses, F2 body and Carpet Wing.
Brandon Marsh
Brandon Marsh club raced at the Ohio RC factory. Brandon said that they are starting to get a lot of interest in drag racing and they did some bracket racing last weekend as well as their off road program. Brandon finished second in both Drag Racing and Mod 2wd. Gold Hotties and the Chevelle body worked great on the drag car. Silver Ellipse and Dirt Webs on the buggy were hooked up.
Shane Wheeler
Heading back east, Shane Wheeler was club racing at Mojo RC Raceway in Oklahoma City. Green Ellipses were his tire of choice. Shane took the win in Open Sprint and a 2nd in Midwest Mod.
Logan Wendling
Up north a bit, Team Driver Logan Wendling was in Laotto Indiana for the 2020 Victory RC 1/8th Scale Champs. Logan’s Dad, Roger said the Event was awesome with 198 entries and anticipates it will get bigger every year.
Logan ran his eBuggy and was able to qualify really well starting on the grid in 6th and finished 7th overall.
In Nitro he had issues qualifying and landed in the bottom of the C main. He bumped from there and had a great opportunity to bump to the A but made too many mistakes for the talent level there.
Green Stalkers all weekend for eBuggy and Green Reflexes for the Nitro buggy. Both on Bullet wheels and JC wing buttons.
Tyler Jones
Also in attendance was Team Driver Tyler Jones. Tyler would TQ and win in Nitro Truggy, and take the win in Nitro Buggy. Aqua Reflex tires on the Buggy, and Green Reflex tires on the Truggy
Cole Tollard
Cole Tollard was also competing at the 2020 Victory RC Champs. Cole finished 1st in eBuggy and 2nd in Nitro Buggy. Cole ran Aqua Blockers in eBuggy and Blue Blockers in Nitro Buggy.
Gary Guffey Jr.
Gary Guffey Jr. was at Wild Bill’s RC Raceway in Irving, Texas and ran Outlaw Sprint and ended up 3rd overall. Gary was on Green Ellipses on the rear and Green Dirt Webs up front.
Orlando Martinez
Orlando Martinez attended the last round of the Summer Series at Fastlane Raceway. Orlando would take first place in both 17.5 Buggy and 13.5 4wd classes. Orlando ran the F2 bodies, Ellipse rear tires and front Dirt Webs in Gold Compound, Mono Wheels and an assortment of JConcepts Accessories.
Travis Slover
Travis Slover also wrapped up the summer points series at Fastlane Raceway running Sportsman eBuggy. Using the S1 Body, Triple Dees in R2 compound and JC Wheels.
Cameron Breaux
Cameron Breaux attended the Charge Em Up Race at Flowood RC Indoor Park in Flowood, MS. Cameron TQ’d in both Expert eTruggy, and Expert eBuggy taking the overall win in eTruggy and a second in eBuggy. Cameron ran Gold Ellipse, and Blue Reflex in eTruggy. In eBuggy he ran Blue Detox, and Blue Reflex tires.
Bobby Smith
We finish up our trip around the world with a final stop close to home. Bobby Smith would take 1st place Club racing at East Orange County RC Raceway. Bobby ran Reflex and Kosmos tires, S15 body and JC Wheels.
