Race Team Update – September 2021 Week #3

The wins keep falling for the JConcepts race team like leaves from an autumn tree! Read about where we raked up victories this past week in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out in sunny California. There were a few events happening throughout the state and the team was putting in work so let’s see how it paid off starting with team driver Joseph Levin.

He recently competed at LSR Speedway in Sacramento for the 2021 SacTown Throwdown. He would finish 2nd on the podium in both the Expert 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes! His 2wd used Silver compound Ellipses in the rear with Gold compound Dirt Webs up front, plus a lightweight F2 body and a Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7″ Rear Wing. And on his wheeler he also used Ellipses in the same compound all the way around and also a standard weight F2 body and the same rear wing.

Also competing at this event was teammate Lucas Wedsted. He would TQ and win the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class while running Silver compound Ellipses on all four corners, plus Dirt Tech inserts and a Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7″ Rear Wing!

Next, we head over to the city of Camarillo where Roadrunners RC is located. He would qualify 10th and move up to 2nd overall while running on Green compound Detox and Reflex tires, a S15 shell, a F2I wing and the new 17mm Finnisher Serrated / Magnetic Wheel Nuts!

We now head east to Omaha, NE where the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) is located. They just wrapped up their annual Summer Series so let’s see how the team finished starting with JC driver Ethan Delair. Swooping down to the ‘Land of Lincoln’ we stop in at RJD Hobbies in the city of Lincoln. Team driver Ryan Mcclain recently visited this track to compete in their Harvest Cup in both the 1/8 Nitro and Electric Truggy classes. On the race side of things let’s check in with the team starting with JC driver Tom Petrella. He competed in both the 1/8 Nitro Buggy 40+ and Expert classes.
