We start this week’s report at Sumter RC Raceway located at Sumter, SC. This past weekend they were host to Round 1 of the TSOC (Two States One Championship) Series which saw 140 entries! This large outdoor track created a perfect race atmosphere, but unfortunately before the mains mother nature decided to cut the race program short for the day. So the awards were based on qualifying results so let’s see how the team finished up starting with JC driver Jason Westfall.
He reports that he would finish 2nd in Mod 2wd Buggy and took the TQ and win in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!
His teammate Josh Parrish finished 5th in the e buggy class while running on both Blue compound Reflex and Blockers throughout the day! He also took the TQ and win in the Mod 4wd Buggy class!
JConcepts driver Ken Rand Jr. competed in three classes at this race. He would finish 2nd in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy class, and double down with two TQs and wins in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1/8 Nitro Truggy classes! His truggy used a F2I wing and his vehicles used a combination of Green and Blue compound Reflex and Blocker tires.
