Race Team Update – May 2024 Week #5

As the month of May comes to a stop the JConcepts team continues to roll on as they claim more wins on tracks around the US! Read about our continued winning ways in this week’s Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down at Beachline Raceway in Cocoa, FL. This track was host to the 5th Round of the Florida 1:10 RC Championships, and we had many driver in attendance so let’s see how they finished up starting with team driver Hunter King. He reports that competed in two classes, and he would wrap up the round with a 5th place in 17.5 2wd Buggy and 2nd overall in 13.5 4wd Buggy!

JC driver Trent Walker raced in the Mod 2wd Buggy class where he finished 6th overall!

JConcepts driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. reports that he finished 6th in 13.5 4wd Buggy, plus he took the TQ and W in the 13.5 Short Course Truck class! He was joined on the Short Course Truck podium by fellow JC driver Tom Sherman in 3rd place! Tom also reported that he competed in the lower mains for 17.5 2wd Buggy and grabbed the win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class too!

Moving up north we now make our way to grand opening of High Voltage Speedway in Anderson, SC. Team driver Ennis Graves ushered in the beginning of a winning era for the JConcepts team by taking the victory in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

Crossing the stateline we now stop in at Thunder Alley R/C Speedway in Lucama, NC. They recently ran Round 4 of their MidWeek Mayhem Series, and JConcepts pilot Josh Parrish was on fire as he captured the triple TQ and win in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes along with 17.5 2wd Buggy!

Continuing north we now get our next report from team driver Wade Piggott. Over the weekend he went to the Tiltyard in Dayton, VA, and when their race was complete he would finish 4th in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 2nd place in 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Bouncing over to the “Hoosier” state we catch up with team driver Chuck Berg. He recently went to Finish Line Raceway in Hudson since they were host to Round 2 of the Tri-State series that saw 144 entries! He would compete in two classes for this round and when the dust had settled he would finish 5th in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 2nd overall in 1/8 Nitro Truggy!

Leaping over into the “Land of Lincoln” we get our next report from JC driver Lukas Klein. He recently went to Rockdale where Crawler Canyon RC Park is located to compete in an Eliminator competition where he finished in 1st place!

Moving to the “show me state” we catch up with JConcepts driver Jake Stoeltzing. This past weekend he attended the 4 States Championships race held at Chicken Dinner Raceway in Neosho. He competed in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and would finish 4th on the podium! His tire teammate Ashton Abdul also finished 2nd overall!

Heading to Oklahoma let’s get a few updates from the team competing at various tracks. Starting in Yukon where Taylor Park Raceway is located team driver David Alford signed up to race in Round 3 of their points series, and when the race was over he would set the TQ and finish 2nd in the Late Model class!

Also competing in this round was fellow JC driver Billy Caldwell in the Outlaw Sprint class. He would take the win in the C Main and just missed the transfer to the A Main after running fast during the event!

JC driver Brian Stanton was racing at Battleground RC Speedway in Muskogee where the Azalea Nationals took place. He raced in the Open Late Model, Open Sprint and Midget Sprint classes for this event. He would suffered a DNF in the Sprint class, finished 6th in Midget and locked up 3rd place on the podium in Late Model!

Our next stop is in Omaha, NE where the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) is located. This past weekend they ran another round of their Summer Series so let’s how the team finished up starting with team driver Brandon Kearney. He let us know that finished 6th in Mod 4wd Buggy and 5th in Mod 2wd Buggy!

Team driver David Peavler let us know that he finished 6th in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy and 4th place in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy!

Team driver, and HobbyPlex race director, Alex Sturgeon was able to throw down some laps at this most recent round. He would finish 3rd on the Mod 4wd podium, plus he also grabbed the TQ and 2nd place in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy! Taking the win in the Mod wheeler class was his tire teammate Mason Herrick, and Mason also finished 3rd in Mod 2wd Buggy too!

JC driver Emerson Sturgeon reported that he took the win in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class, and it was a podium sweep for the JConcepts team as he was joined by his fellow JC driver Andrew Thomas (2nd) and Daniel Bender (3rd)!

Team driver Orlando Martinez signed up for three classes in this round, and he would end the event with a 5th place finish in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy, plus two 3rd place finishes in 40+ 2wd Buggy and Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Taking the W in the Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy class was JConcepts driver TJ Williams! He was joined on the podium by Andrew and Orlando to complete the JConcepts podium sweep! TJ also finished 4th in Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy along with the TQ and win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

Heading up north we now make our way to FTR Raceway in Foley, MN for the 2nd Round of the State Championship Series. Team driver Joe Scaramell was in attendance and he would finish the round with a 9th place finish in 1/8 Electric Buggy and the TQ and win in the 35+ 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

Taking a diagonal down to Arizona we get our next report from JConcepts driver James Rodriguez. This past weekend he raced Round 1 of the AZRC Dirt Oval series that was held at Dunns Arena in Litchfield Park. He would finish the day with a 6th place finish in Super Late Model and 5th overall in Outlaw Sprint!

Now, let’s fly out to sunny California to see how the team finished up at several events taking place in the state this past weekend. Starting at SDRC in San Diego, team driver Chris Raymond let us know that he finished 3rd in 30+ 2wd Buggy!

His son and fellow JC driver Chris Raymond finished 5th in the Mod 2wd Buggy class along with 3rd place in Mod 4wd Buggy! Joining him on the mod wheeler podium to complete the JConcepts podium sweep was his brother Levi Raymond (2nd) and Davey Batta (1st)!

JConcepts driver Matthew Gonzales raced in the Mod 2wd Buggy class and he would secure the win for the event!

Round 2 of the Nor Cal RC Monster Trucks Points Series took place at the Rescue RC Raceway in the city of Rescue, and team driver Jeremy Bunting reports that he made the finals in the Retro class with his Shotgun replica rig, and he also picked up the win in the Challenger Spec Class with his Titan monster truck!

Our final report this week is courtesy of team driver Rob Moots. Over the weekend he competed in Round 3 of the Spring Fever point series that took place at Auburn RC in Auburn. He would spring to action and he took the double wins in the Mod and 13.5 Sprint classes!
