Race Team Update – July 2024 Week #1

As we roll into the month of July the JConcepts race team shows no signs of slowing down as they continue to roll over the competition out on the track. Read all about it in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report in the upper Pacific Northwest region. Team driver Evan Roeth went to Skagit River Raceway in Burlington, WA to be the race director for Round 3 of their 1:5 off-road series. He also got some laps in as they ran some 1:8 off-road classes too, and he finished 2nd overall in 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Next, we head over to Taylor Park RC Raceway in Yukon, OK for this quick update from team driver Tyler Keel.

He recently competed in Round 5 of their points series as he ran in both the Open Sprint and Midget classes. At the end of the night he would double down with two TQs and wins!

Moving over to Missouri let’s head to Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs to get some updates from the team competing at a few race events recently held there. Last weekend they held their Off-Road Riot trophy race on their outdoor track that included an AA main format for the nitro classes. Team driver Jake Stoeltzing signed up for the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes, and he would finish the race with a 4th place finish in truggy and 2nd overall in buggy!

Team driver Mason Herrick also competed in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class where he finished in 3rd place!

JC driver Shane Alberico competed in both the Expert 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes. After the dust had settled he would finish 7th in the nitro class and 4th place in e buggy!

Moving indoors to their 1:10 off-road electric track, let’s get another update from team driver Orlando Martinez. This past Wednesday night he raced in their Summer Points Series and he took the double TQ in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes, then raced on to finish 2nd in 17.5 and 1st in 13.5 wheeler!

Driving up I-35 we make our way to Southern Minnesota RC Raceway in Blooming Prairie, MN. There we find team driver Joe Zaier Jr. who took the win in the 1:5 Truck class at their recent Dash 4 Cash trophy event!

Moving down to Ohio we stop in the city of Toledo where TARCAR is located. This track hosted Round 3 of the OEOSS (Ohio Extreme Off-Road Summer Series) and we had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how they finished. Starting with team driver Brandon Marsh he reported that he finished 5th overall in 1/8 Nitro Buggy, plus took the W in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class! Joining him on the e buggy podium to complete the JConcepts podium sweep were fellow drivers Nathan Clark (TQ & 2nd) and Aaron Buran (3rd)!

Aaron would also set the TQ and finish 2nd overall in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class behind fellow JC pilot Chuck Berg!

In the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class team driver Steve Culbert would dominate this event with the TQ and win!

Pushing our way out east to Pennsylvania we stop in Mt. Cobb Speedway in the city of Mt. Cobb. There we find team driver Matt Adams who was competing in their Sprint Car Nationals trophy event. He would finish the race with a 5th place finish in Midget and 4th overall in 360 Sprint!

Wiggling our way down to West Virginia let’s see how the team finished up at the King of the Hillbillies race held at Tri-Cities RC Racing in Lavalette. Team driver Wade Piggott competed in the Pro 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes where he grabbed both top qualifying positions! After the mains were ran he would finish 3rd in nitro buggy and 1st place in e buggy!

Taking the win in the nitro buggy class was his tire teammate Bella Rogers! She also finished 2nd overall in e buggy too!

Heading to the coast we catch up with team driver Jake Stikeleather. He recently competed at Thunder Alley RC Speedway in Lucama, NC for the 7th Annual Nitro Hero Challenge. When the racing was over he would take the top spot in Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy and his son Joseph finished 3rd overall too!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of Canadian team driver Dylan Raposo. This past weekend he competed in 3 round of the OtterCup Series in Tillsonburg, Ontario in Canada. He competed in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he finished 3rd overall!
