Friday5 With Team Driver Mike Legue

In this edition of the JConcepts Friday5 we talk to Michigan team driver, Mike Legue !

1. How did you discover RC car racing? Was it early in life, later on as an adult, etc?

I discovered RC racing as a kid. My dad raced a Losi JRXT Pro and took me with him one time. I was hooked from them on!

2. For the rest of 2024 what races, series, or other RC related event are you looking forward to attending and why?

For the rest of 2024 I’m looking forward to heading back down to Rabun Arena for the Georgia Peach State Classic at the end of September, as well as AMS! I have never attended either event and I’m super excited to do both!

3. What classes do you enjoy to compete in today? Is there another class you would like to see comeback or increase in popularity so you could compete in it as well?

As of today, I’m heavy into nitro buggy and truggy, as well as ebuggy. Nitro is the glory! I’ve also raced lots of 1:10 in the past, but nitro buggy is hands down my favorite to race.

4. When it comes to new products released from JConcepts, what are you most excited to see released and why?

Currently my favorite JConcepts product would be the new Dirt Bite tire for both truggy and buggy. I have been using them a lot locally since their releases and they have been amazing!

5. Besides piloting a RC car what other hidden talent or skill set do you possess that might surprise someone?

I’m a manual machinist by day so I’m always tinkering and making new stuff to try out. I’m even currently running a few things on my cars that I have designed and tested myself, as well as a few other local guys. You never know what I’m cooking up next!
