Friday5 With Team Driver Cayden Stenhouse

In this edition of the JConcepts Friday5 we talk to United Kingdom team driver, Cayden Stenhouse!

1. Let’s get a little background on your start to RC racing. Were you introduced to it by a friend, family member, or maybe read about or watched something on social media?

I got into racing when we found my dad’s old RC car in the loft, and my mum found a track close to me so we headed down to have a look then and about a week later I was racing.

2. What class do you prefer to compete in today, and why?

I think nothing is better than 1:8 scale racing. I love it because of the sound of the engines, tyre choices and mainly because of the wheel to wheel racing!

3. From your experience what is the easiest AND hardest maintenance task on your RC cars?

For me it has to be a split decision between the rebuilding of diffs and maintenance of shocks.

4. Which JConcepts product, in your opinion, is a must-have on race day when going to the track and why?

A must have is the JConcepts Radial Bearings as they make my car just that bit smoother on the drive train.

5. What other hobbies are you into besides RC cars?

Honestly RC is my main and only hobby, but I do like to spend some time at home practicing on the racing simulator!
