Hills Off-Road will be hosting the 2025 IFMAR Worlds for 1/10th scale Off-Road later this year and races from all over the world ventured over this past weekend for the Warm-Up event. The JConcepts team was out in full force to learn and prepare for the most prestigious event of the year.
The event would start with practice and seeding for both classes before splitting for 2wd qualifying and main events followed by 4wd qualifying and main events. The epic outdoor track would throw racers a curveball each round as moisture and temperature would play a major factor in setup and driving lines each day.
Seeding would see JConcepts drivers dominate the charts in 2wd with a little bit of a slower start to 4wd.
Seeding:
2wd Modified: 1st Lachlan Donnelly, 2nd Spencer Rivkin, 3rd Jarod Ment
4wd Modified: 3rd Lachlan Donnelly
Moving into qualifying Lachlan Donnelly quickly showed that he came to play on home soil, as the rest of the team continued to come to terms with the surface.
2wd Qualifying: 1st Lachlan Donnelly, 2nd Spencer Rivkin, 3rd Michal Orlowski
Each main event would finish extremely closely with the winner having less than a second margin in each one. Each of the podium finishers would get a win which meant this event would go down to A3.
2wd Podium: 1st Lachlan Donnelly (JC), 2nd Spencer Rivkin (JC), 3rd Michal Orlowski (JC)
Next up would be the 4wd portion which would see Lachlan pick up where he left off in 2wd.
4wd Qualifying: 1st Lachlan Donnelly, 3rd Spencer Rivkin
4wd would see some topsy turvy triple main results with 3 different winners again, not all would find their way to the overall podium but the mains did keep things interesting through A3.
4wd Podium: 1st Lachlan Donnelly (JC), 2nd Spencer Rivkin (JC), 3rd Chase Lemieux
