Race Team Update – April 2025 Week #3

The JConcepts race team continues to hop from track to track as they take more podiums around the nation. Read about our winning ways in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down at Capital City RC Raceway in Tallahassee, FL. This track was host to Round 3 of the FRCC (Florida RC Championships) 1/8 off-road series that saw 145 entries! Let’s see how the team finished starting with team driver Tony Rivas. He competed in the Open 1/8 Electric Truggy class and locked up the final podium spot!

Team driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. competed in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Truggy class where he would go on to take the TQ and win!

In the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy class it was a podium sweep for the JConcepts team as team drivers Julien Oliveras (TQ & 1st), Nolan Manchester (2nd), Gabriel Santiago (3rd) Trent Walker (4th) and Joshua Vicidomini filled out the podium!

Heading up the east coast we now get this update from team driver Ennis Graves. This past weekend he competed in the Battle of the Upstate event that involved two tracks. The first stop was at S&B R/C Speedway in Piedmont, SC, then the next stop was at ERC Raceway in Easley, SC. He would finish 2nd at both tracks in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class which placed him 2nd overall for the double header event!

Moving onward we now stop in at Lowell, OH where Switchback RC in the Village is located at. This past weekend was their 4th Anniversary Celebration, and team driver Wade Piggott would finish 1st overall in the Late Model class!

Moving over to Michigan we now visit Sandpit RC in the city of Jonesville. This past weekend was the finals for their Winter points series so let’s see how the team finished up. Team driver Mike Legue reported that for the finals he would set the TQ in both the 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes, then race on to finish 2nd in e buggy and also take the win in the nitro class! When the season points were added up he would take the season championship in both classes! Joining him on the e buggy podium was fellow JC pilot Kyle King in 3rd place!

Our next stop is at FMRC (Fargo Moorhead Radio Control) Raceways in Dilworth, MN. Last week was Round 6 of their Winter series and team driver Marco Moreno competed in three classes. When the racing was done he would finish 4th in 17.5 2wd Buggy, 3rd in 13.5 4wd Buggy, plus the TQ and win in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

Sending it south we next visit FORC Raceway in Jonesboro, AR. This past weekend was the opening round of their outdoor points series and it was a podium sweep for the JConcepts team in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Team driver Braden Bruce would take the TQ and win and he was joined by Peyton Jaynes in 2nd and Calvin Bruce in 3rd! Braden would also take the TQ and win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class too!

Shooting down to Texas we visit Mike’s Gulf Coast RC Raceway in the city of Porter. This track was host to Round 4 of the HARC (Houston Area RC) Series last weekend. JConcepts driver Todd Geary competed in this most recent round and he would finish 4th overall in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Angling our way to Arizona let’s see how the team finished up at a few recent events taking place throughout the state. Our first stop is at Hobby Action RC Raceway in Chandler, AZ who recently hosted the AZ States trophy event that saw 169 entries! Team driver Diego Betancur competed in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes, and he would finish 3rd in wheeler plus take the win in 2wd!

Our next update from Arizona is from team driver Adam Peters.

Over the weekend he went to Adobe Mountain R/C Speedway in Phoenix to race in their Spring Nationals, and he would finish the event with a DNF in 1/8 Nitro Buggy along with the win in 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Our final tour stop this week is at Coyote Hobbies in Victorville, CA. This past weekend they held their dirt oval trophy event, and team driver Rob Moots would end the race with two 3rd place finishes in the Mod and 13.5 Sprint classes!

Fellow team driver Jeff Guest would also make the 13.5 Sprint podium with a 2nd place finish!
