In this edition of the JConcepts Friday5 we talk to Michigan team driver, Kyle King!
1. We have to ask everyone this in our interviews, how did you get your start in RC racing?
I got my start into RC when I was little. My dad had a Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec and would run it around in the street and I always had an interest since.
2. What class do you prefer to compete in today, and why?
Absolutely no doubt is Nitro Buggy! The sound and the smell makes it so much fun! Not to mention how much power they make too!
3. When life interferes and you can’t get out to the track, what other activities do you dabble with to meet your RC fix?
Outside of RC, I mainly do a lot of wrenching on the race cars and my full size race car, along with listening to the NNRC podcast!
4. To date what is your favorite JConcepts product of all time and why?
Am I only aloud to pick one?! They are all fantastic, but my favorite product of all time has to be the Dirt Web 2 tires for buggy. They have insane amount of grip and stability making my car easy to drive but fast!
5. Besides piloting a RC car what other hidden talent or skill set do you possess that might surprise someone?
I am a big nerd with computers, from building them from scratch to software development.
