Race Team Update – May 2025 Week #3

It was another winning week for the JConcepts race team as they continue to march their way to the top of the podium around the globe. Read all about it in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in Ft Lauderdale, FL where Mills Pond RC Speedway is located at. This track hosted Round 4 of the Florida RC Championship 1/8 series that saw 210 entries! Let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Tony Rivas. He reported that he raced in the Open 1/8 Electric Truggy class and finished in 3rd place!

JC driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. signed up for the Pro 1/8 Nitro Truggy class where he finished 2nd overall! He was joined on the podium by fellow JConcepts driver Brad Nicosia in 4th place!

Team driver Mike Bellotti II raced in the Open 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and he would lock up the final podium spot! Taking the win in this class was fellow JC driver Donato Tradardi and he was also joined by team drivers Joseph Ruggiero (3rd) and Max Mejia (4th) as well!

Next, we head up to Thunder Alley in Lucama NC for our next report. This past weekend they held a trophy event and team driver Maddy Long would TQ both the Pro 1/8 Electric and Nitro buggy classes then race on to finish 2nd in nitro and 1st in e buggy! Her father Rusty Mihelich also threw down laps at this race and he would take the TQ and W in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Heading to the northeast we now visit RC Madness in Enfield, CT. Last weekend they held their Dirt Showdown Race that brought out 158 entries! JConcepts driver Daniel Sedler competed in both the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes and he would come away with the double TQ and win! Joining him on the e buggy podium in 2nd place was fellow JC driver Antonio Caputo!

Turning west we now visit LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, PA. Last weekend they held their Northeast Showdown event, and team driver Tom Petrella signed up for both the 40+ 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes. In the buggy class he would finish 9th overall while in 40+ e buggy he would set the TQ then drive on to take the win! Joining him on the 40+ e buggy podium was fellow JConcepts driver Matt Willard (2nd)!

Also competing at this event for the team was his tire teammate Dylan Manchanda. He would make both A Mains for the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes and finished 10th overall in both!

Continuing west we now stop in the city of Toledo, OH where TARCAR is located at. This track hosted Round 1 of the City Series that brought out 114 entries! JConcepts driver Mike Legue competed in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes, and he would set the TQ in e buggy, then drive on to take the W in both classes!

Taking the TQ and finishing 2nd in nitro buggy was fellow JC pilot Chuck Berg!

Also competing for the team at this race was JConcepts driver Kyle King. He also competed in both buggy classes, and he would finish with a solid 8th place in the nitro class, plus a 6th place finish in e buggy!

JConcepts driver Mark Henry signed up for the 40+ 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes. He would just miss the bump spot to the A Main in the nitro class, but in e buggy he would finish in 2nd place! Joining him on the 40+ e buggy podium was his tire teammate Steve Culbert!

Team driver Nathan Clark signed up for the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes, and he would make both mains finishing 7th in nitro and 3rd place in e buggy!

Now we make a diagonal to Full Throttle RC Raceway in Foley, MN. Last weekend they were host to Round 1 of the MNRC Minnesota Off-Road Racing Series that saw 116 entries!

Team driver Steve Richter competed in 3 classes and came home with the great results!

  • 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • Open 1/8 Electric Truggy = 2nd place
  • Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy = 7th place

JConcepts driver Joe Scaramell raced in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes, and when the event was over he would finish 6th in truggy and a 3rd place in e buggy!

Team driver Josh Ford would net two 2nd place finishes in both the 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes!

Staying in the state we now head to Dilworth where FMRC (Fargo Moorhead Radio Control) Raceway is located at. Last weekend was the finals for their winter series, and after the points were tallied up team driver Marco Moreno would finish 3rd in the series for 17.5 2wd Buggy, 2nd for 13.5 4wd Buggy and 1st place in 13.5 Stadium Truck!

Heading down I-35 we now make our way to Send It R.C. Speedway located at the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel, IA.

This past Saturday night they held their Fireball 100 trophy event, and team driver David Fast reported that he would finish with a DNF in the Late Model class and a 4th place in Open Sprint!

Continuing south down I-35 we now stop in at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO. This past Wednesday they held Round 2 of their Summer Series, and team driver Orlando Martinez would double up with 2 TQs and wins in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Heading over to Oklahoma next we now get a few updates from the team competing at different dirt oval events. Starting with team driver Tyler Keel this past weekend he was competing at Taylor Park RC Raceway in the city of Yukon for the 3rd round of their points series.

He would set the TQ then finish in 2nd place in the Open Sprint class!

Our next report in the state comes to us from JC driver Brian Stanton. He recently competed at Battleground RC Speedway in Muskogee for the opening round of the Midget Invasion Series. He competed in three classes and finished with some great results!

  • Open Sprint = TQ and 1st place
  • 10.5 Late Model = TQ and 2nd place
  • Midget Sprint = TQ and 2nd place

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of international team driver Logan Toia. Recently he went to the CMR facility in Wellington, New Zealand to race in the Windy 500 trophy event.

He competed in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy classes where he finished 2nd overall in both, plus the TQ in the e buggy class!
