Race Team Update – October 2025 Week #4

The JConcepts race team continues to scare away the competition as we roll closer to Halloween. Read all about it in this new installment of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out west at Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway in Victorville, CA. Team driver Gary Slater was in attendance competing at Round 1 of their Winter Heat Series and he got off to a great start with a 3rd place finish in 17.5 2wd Buggy!

Shooting over to Texas we now get our next update from JC driver Brian Henn. This past weekend he went to Mike’s Gulf Coast RC Raceway in the city of Porter to compete in their 50/50 money race event. He competed in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he finished 2nd overall after the AA mains, and he also brought home some cold hard cash!

Staying in the state we get another update from JConcepts pilot Todd Geary. He raced at Round 4 of the MSM Southern Showdown that was supposed to take place in Oklahoma, but due to weather it was moved to Thornhill Racing Circuit in city of Hutto. This facility stepped up the plate to put on another great event, and when the racing was done he would finish 6th in Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 4th in 1/8 Nitro Truggy and 2nd place in 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Heading north we now visit St. Louis Dirt Burners in Kirkwood, MO.

Last weekend they held their 2025 Pumpkin Cup and team driver Wes Miravalle let us know that he would lock up the final podium spot in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Also competing at this event was his tire teammate Wesley Gifford in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class where he would take the win!

Our next stop is at HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha, NE. Last weekend was the opening round of their Dirt Oval Winter series which saw its largest turnout ever at 130 entries! Team driver David Fast competed in two classes, and he would wrap up the round with 2 finishes in the B Main for both the 410 Sprint and Late Model classes!

Fellow JC driver Alex Sturgeon competed in the 360 Sprint class where he would take the win!

JConcepts driver Will Brinton would throw down laps in the 410 Sprint class where he would also pick up a W for the team!

Crossing the Missouri River we now visit Bad Fast Hobbies in Sioux City, IA.

This past weekend was the opening round of their Winter Series and team driver Jake Wiggs was bringing the heat as he took the TQ and win in all of his classes!

  • TQ & Win – 13.5 Stadium Truck
  • TQ & Win – Mod 2wd Buggy

Crossing the Mississippi River we now work our way up to Brookfield, WI where Trackside Hobbies & Raceway is located at. Last weekend was another round of their Saturday Night Fever series that brought out 115 entries!

Team driver Tyler Aubart was competing in this round, and he would finish 2nd in both the 13.5 4wd and Mod 2wd Buggy classes!

Also throwing down laps for the team was fellow JC driver Steve Richter. He signed up the 13.5 Stadium Truck class where he would take the win!

Leaping over Lake Michigan we splash down in the state of Michigan to get a few updates from the team competing at different events. Our first update is from team driver Kris Norlock who was racing at RC One Racing in Macomb Township for their Chiller Thriller trophy event. He signed up for two classes and would finish 3rd in Mod 2wd Buggy and also grabbed the TQ and win in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy!

Our next update in the state is from team driver Kyle King. Last weekend was the opening round of the Nitro Winter Series at Sandpit RC in city of Jonesville.

He registered for two classes and would finish 4th in 1/8 Electric Buggy and he also netted the TQ and W in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

Now we head east to Barnstormers Raceway in Chester, NY. This past weekend they held a trophy event, and team driver David Longaker let us know that he would finish 2nd overall in both the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes!

Cutting the corner to Connecticut we now visit RC Madness the town of Enfield. Last weekend was their Halloween Havoc race, and team driver Antonio Caputo struck fear into the competition as he took the double TQ and win in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Heading south we now visit Insanity Race Track in Boonton, NJ. This past weekend they hosted the 2nd annual RC10Talk.com Vintage Fall Brawl, and team driver Jason Csontos was ready to rumble as he competed in four classes with solid results!

  • Stadium Truck = TQ and 1st place
  • Y2K Stadium Truck = 2nd place
  • Y2K 2wd Buggy = 5th place
  • 2wd Buggy = 6th place

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Brian Miskolczi. Last weekend he went to Minimus R/C Raceway and Hobbies in Hughesville, MD for some dirt oval racing.

He competed in three classes and would finish with a 4th place finish in 12T Mudboss, 2nd place in Street Stock and a TQ and 3rd place finish in Big Block Mudboss!
