Race Team Update – March 2026 Week #1

The JConcepts race team continues their march to the top of podiums around the world as the new month begins. Read about our latest finishes in this week’s edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out west at Auburn RC in Auburn, CA.

Last weekend they held Round 1 of their Spring Fever Series, and team driver Randy Tanaka reported that he finished 4th in 13.5 4wd Buggy, plus 1st overall in the 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Next, we load up and fly out to Dollar Hobbyz in Woodbury, MN. Last weekend they held their Ice Breaker trophy event that saw 113 entries! We had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how they finished up starting with team driver Thor Ott. For this event he raced in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class where he finished with the TQ and 1st place! Joining him on the podium to complete the JConcepts sweep were fellow drivers Kc Belke (2nd) and Kyle Holmberg (3rd)!

Speaking of Kyle he would also finish 1st overall in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class! Joining him on the podium to complete yet another JConcepts sweep were team drivers Tyler Aubart (2nd) and Joe Zaier Jr. (3rd)!

JC driver Kc Belke would also compete in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class where he grabbed the TQ and win!

Team driver Christopher Malooly competed in three classes for this race. He would finish 5th in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy, 3rd in 13.5 4wd Buggy, plus he netted the TQ and win in the 21.5 2wd Buggy class!

Staying in Minnesota we now head to the RC Underground in the city of Warren. Last weekend they held Round 6 of their Winter Series, and team driver Marco Moreno was ready for action once again. In the 17.5 2wd Buggy class he would start 2nd overall in the A Main but suffer a DNF to end his run early. In the 13.5 4wd Buggy class he would finish strong with a 2nd place finish while in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class he would set the TQ then race on to finish in 1st!

Heading south we now visit 405 RC Raceway & Hobbies in Oklahoma City, OK for this quick update from team driver Rhett McNair. He visited this facility last weekend for their annual Bigfoot trophy race, and when the event was over he would finish 4th in 17.5 2wd Buggy and 3rd place in Mod 2wd Buggy! Joining him on the Mod 2wd podium in 5th place was his tire teammate Ken Peterson!

Crossing the state line we now stop in at FORC Raceway in Jonesboro, AR. There we find team driver Shane Alberico who recently competed there for Round 4 of their points series. He would finish the round with a 2nd place finish in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy and 1st place in Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy!

Now we fly down to sunny Florida for our next update. Last weekend Round 2 of the 2026 JConcepts Florida RC Championship 10th Series took place at Newberry RC Park in the town of Newberry.

Team driver Chris VanRaemdonck would compete in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes, and he would finish 2nd in 2wd and 1st place in mod wheeler!

Team driver Owen Simmons competed in 3 classes at this event with some solid results!

  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = 2nd place
  • 17.5 Stadium Truck = 3rd place
  • Pro4 Short Course Truck = 3rd place

Heading up the coastline we now visit North Carolina to get a few updates from the team competing at different events. Starting with team driver Derrick Harris he let us know that he recently competed at G3RC Raceway in Bessemer City for their season opener which saw 143 entries! When the day wrapped up he would just miss the transfer spot for the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class, while in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class he would finish in 6th place!

Our next update in the state was submitted to us by JC driver Dave McEwen. This past weekend he went to World of R/C Parts & Thunder Alley R/C Speedway in Lucama to compete in the finals of their Super 7 Series! For the finals he would finish 3rd in Mod 2wd Buggy along with the TQ and win in the Mod 4wd Buggy and Stadium Truck classes! When the season points were tallied up he would finish 3rd in truck and 1st overall in both buggy classes!

Crossing the state line again we now visit Adrenaline RC Raceway in Winchester, VA. Last weekend was the opening round of their Sprint points series, and team driver Javon Mallory is off to a good start as he would finish 2nd overall in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Cutting the corner we now visit RC Madness in Enfield, CT for this report from JC pilot Jonathan Sohl. Last weekend this track held their March Madness trophy race that brought out 120 entries! He would finish in the B Main for the 17.5 2wd Buggy class while over in the Vintage Rear Motor Buggy class he would lock up 2nd place!

Now we head back west and stop in at Altitude RC in Beckley, WV. Last weekend they hosted the WV State Carpet Championship so let’s see how the team finished up starting with team driver Casey Bias. He competed in the Expert 13.5 4wd and 17.5 2wd Buggy classes, and he would finish 4th in wheeler and 3rd place in 2wd! Joining him on the podium in 1st place was fellow team driver Brayden White!

His tire teammate Brent Hatcher raced in the Expert Stadium Truck class where he finished 3rd overall! Taking the win in this class is fellow JC driver Jim Merritts!

On to Ohio we next catch up with team driver Geoffrey Ketler. This past weekend he went to Finish Line RC in Hudson to sign up for the most recent round of the Midwest Carpet Off-Road Series. He would finish the round with a DNF in Stadium Truck, a 3rd place finish in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy, plus the TQ and W in the Short Course Truck class!

Also competing at this event was his JC teammate Wyatt Gaskins who would finish 4th in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Now let’s get some updates from our international team starting with team driver Jarod Ment. Last weekend he attended the 1/8 Australian Nationals held in Canberra, Australia, and he would end the event with a 6th place finish in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 3rd place in 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Also competing for the team at this race was JC driver Ben Panic who would finish 4th in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

His son Zac would also finish 5th in the Juniors class and 3rd overall in the Sportsman class!
