Race Team Update – March 2026 Week #2

The JConcepts race team turns the competition green with envy as they continue to rack up wins around the nation. Read about our continued winning ways in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out west in the city of Perris, CA. Last weekend the The Dirt Nitro Challenge took place here, but also taking place at the same time was the Dirt Oval Challenge. Team driver James Rodriguez was in attendance, and he competed in three classes with some great results!

  • Modified Late Model = TQ and 1st place
  • Outlaw Modified Sprint = 3rd place
  • Wingless Sprint = 5th place

Now we shoot over to Texas and stop in at Mike’s Gulf Coast RC Raceway in Porter. Last weekend this track hosted Round 2 of the HARC (Houston Area RC) series, and team driver Joel Rodriguez would finish 2nd in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Also competing for the team was JC driver Todd Geary. He would lock up the final podium spot on the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class, and joining him on the podium were team drivers Frosty St. Clair (2) and Robbie Darby (3rd)!

Moving over to Mississippi we now stop in at Saratoga-Flowood RC Raceway in town of Magee. Last weekend they held their Throttle Therapy trophy event, and team driver William Ables would lock up the 2nd podium spot in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Crossing the state line we make our way to FORC Raceway in Jonesboro, AR. Last weekend they held their March Madness 8.0 trophy race, and we had many drivers in attendance so let’s see how the team finished up. Starting with team driver David Alberico he let us know that we would take the W in the 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Team driver Braxten Culley would set the TQ then race on to finish 2nd in Mod 2wd Buggy, plus he picked up the win in the Mod 4wd Buggy class! Joining him on the mod wheeler podium to complete the JConcepts sweep were team drivers Braden Bruce (3rd) and Nate Sutherland (TQ and 2nd)! Braden would also finish 3rd in the Mod 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes along with the TQ and win in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Team driver Peyton Jaynes was also throwing down fast laps at this event, and he would end the race with two 4th place finishes in the Mod and 17.5 2wd Buggy classes!

Heading north we now get this quick update from JConcepts driver Nick Gibson. Last weekend was the final round of the Winter Series at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO, and when the points were added up Nick would take home 1st overall in both the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes!

Now we angle our way over to the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha. Last weekend was the final round of their dirt oval Winter points series. When the season points were tallied up team driver David Fast would finish 2nd overall in the Open Late Model class along with 1st place in the Open Sprint class!

Team driver Alex Sturgeon would also grab another win for the JC team in the 360 Sprint class!

Heading east on I-80 we now stop in at Traction City in Webster City, Iowa for our next update. Last weekend this track held their March Mayhem trophy race, and team driver David Peavler would finish 3rd in Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy along with a 2nd place finish in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

His son Jayme took the TQ and W in the Independent 2wd Buggy class, and in the special two driver “Buddy Race” they would combine forces to take home the win! Joining them on the “Buddy Race” podium in 2nd place was team driver Jacob Sweisberger!

Heading north on I-35 we now visit Dollar Hobbyz in Woodbury, MN. Last weekend was Round 7 of their Winter series, and team driver Thor Ott reported that he took the win in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Our next visit is to Sandpit RC in Jonesville, MI. Last weekend they held Round 5 of their Winter nitro series, and team driver Tony Sosnowicz would nab the TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Bouncing south we now visit the “Hoosier” state and stop in at MPRC (Muncie Performance RC Raceway) in the city of Muncie. Last weekend they hosted the Indiana State race, and team driver Wyatt Gaskins would finish 2nd in the Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

On to Ohio we now visit Magic Hobbies in Strasburg. This past weekend they held their annual St. Patrick’s Day trophy race, and team driver Geoffrey Ketler would double down with wins in both the Short Course and Stadium truck classes which included a TQ in the Short Course Truck too!

Moving east we now get a quick update from team driver Scott Welch. This past weekend the Central PA RC Monster Trucks group held a trophy event and Scott would put in some solid results!

  • ProMod = 2nd place
  • 2wd = 2nd place
  • SportMod = 3rd place

Our final report this week comes to is courtesy of team driver Owen Simmons. This past weekend the ROAR Region 3 Off-Road Carpet race took place at High Voltage RC in Anderson, SC, and Owen would finish 3rd overall in the 40+ Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes! Taking the W in the Mod wheeler class was fellow JC pilot Chris VanRaemdonck!
