Race Team Update – March 2026 Week #4

The final weekend of racing in March is another winning one for the JConcepts race team. Check out our latest success in this new installment of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in sunny Florida. There were a few different events taking place in the state so let’s first stop in at B&T RC Raceway in Crestview. This track recently held their Battle trophy event, and team driver Peyton Jaynes would lock up 2nd place in both the Mod 2wd Buggy and 1/8 Electric Buggy classes!

Taking the win the Mod 2wd class was his tire teammate Hunter King!

Our next stop in the state is at DFD R/C in Plant City. This track hosted Round 3 of the FRCC (Florida RC Championships), and team driver Tyler Scofield would grab three 2nd place finishes in the Expert 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes along with Mini Truggy!

Now we make our way up to Powder Springs, GA where Sweetwater Raceway is located at.

This past weekend they held their 12th annual Sweetwater Slam, and team driver Jason Westfall would come away from the event with two 3rd place finishes in Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy along with a 2nd place finish in Mod Stadium Truck!

Now we cut the corner and stop in at RC Madness in Enfield, CT. This facility was busy hosting a few different events so let’s see how the team finished up. Starting with team driver Bryson Furnish he signed up for the 2026 Mini Nationals and he came away with a ton of hardware!

  • Stock Mini-B = TQ and 1st place
  • Mini Short Course Truck = TQ and 1st place
  • Mini 4wd = TQ and 1st place
  • Vintage Mini-T = 1st place
  • Mod Mini-B = TQ and DNF
  • Mod Mini-T = 2nd place
  • Mini Jrx2 = 3rd place

He also earns our coveted ‘ironman’ award this week for competing in the most classes at a single RC event!

The other event taking place was Round 2 of the RCMTC (R/C Monster Truck Challenge) Series on their outside turf. Despite the cold temps the JC team was on fire as team driver JJ Eaton would finish 3rd in ProMod and 1st place in Challenger! Finishing 2nd plus grabbing the TQ in the Challenger class was his teammate Ethan Saunders! Ethan would come home with the TQ and W in the ProMod class as well!

JConcepts driver Scott Welch would also compete in the ProMod class where he qualified in the top half of the field!

JC pilot Chris Ciriello let us know that all four of his trucks would make it to Round 2 of the ProMod class, plus in the Challenger class his Blue Thunder monster truck finished within the top 8!

Heading west we now stop in at Get a Hobby in Uniontown, PA. This track recently held their season ending banquet, and team driver Matt Stoltz would take home the series win in the 2wd Short Course Truck class after claiming seven wins!

Working our way down to West Virginia we now visit The Emporium in Princeton. Last weekend they held their Sprint Fling trophy event, and team driver Casey Bias would finish 2nd in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class along with the TQ and W in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

His son Colton would also double down at this race with two TQs and wins in the Adult Sportsman and Kids classes!

On to Ohio we now catch up with team driver Jackson Neer. This past weekend he went to ARCS Hobbies and Speedway in Ashtabula to sign up for their Lake Erie Shootout, and he would come home with some awesome results!

  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = 1st place
  • 21.5 2wd Buggy = 1st place
  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = 2nd place
  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = 3rd place
  • Mod 2wd Buggy = 3rd place

Also competing for the team at this race was fellow JC driver Matt Brienzo as he would double down with two TQs and wins in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Heading north we now visit Sandpit RC in Jonesville, MI. Last weekend they held their March Madness trophy race, and team driver Kyle King would finish 2nd in 1/8 Electric Buggy along with the TQ and win in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class! Finishing 2nd on the truggy podium was his teammate Tony Sosnowicz, and Tony would also grab the W in the e buggy class too!

Leaping over Lake Michigan we now splash down at Trackside Hobbies & Raceway in Brookfield, WI.

Last weekend was another round of their Saturday Night Fever points series, and team driver Ryan Derenne would just miss the A Main for the Stadium Truck class, while over in the Mod 2wd Buggy class he would make the finals and finish 10th overall!

Sending it south we now visit Limestone Raceway in Kankakee, IL. Last weekend was their Rubber Tire Meltdown trophy race, and team driver Adam Forist would finish 2nd overall in the Outlaw Late Model class!

Our next stop is at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO. Last Saturday was their March Mayhem trophy event, and team driver Mike Garrison was running a full court press on the competition as he would take the win in the Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

Over to Oklahoma we now visit Battleground RC in the city of Muskogee for our final report this week.

This past weekend was their season opener, and team driver Brian Stanton was ready to roll as he took the double TQ and win in the Outlaw and 13.5 Sprint classes!
