The 2026 Texas Shootout was the first of the extended 3-day events held by Thornhill Racing Circuit this year in preparation for the 2026 IMFAR World Championships. The JConcepts team had a host of drivers on hand beginning preparations for later in the year.
The event included a full practice day on Friday, followed by 3 rounds of qualifying on Saturday with the best 2/3 rounds counting via Qual-Points, and on Sunday the main events took place with long single nitro mains and dual electric mains.
After practice the team was still flipping between Blue and Silver Compounds in either Rehab and Relapse style or bar tires like the Dirt Web 2, Double Bar, and Overdose.
