Race Team Update – May 2026 Week #1

The opening weekend of May is in the books and it was another winning one for the JConcepts race team. Reach about our latest chapter of success in this new installment of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report down in sunny Florida at Southland Speedway in Delray Beach. The opening round of the Monster Mash Points series was held there and team driver Dustin Spallone is off to a great start as he took the win in the Pro Mod Class!

Next, we head north to RC3 (Rocket City Radio Control Racing Club) in Huntsville, AL for this quick report from team driver Randy Enger. This past weekend they held Round 2 of their points series and he was able to take home the TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Pushing up to Pennsylvania we now get a few updates from the team competing in different events. Starting with JC driver Mark Baldwin he reported that he recently went to Pit Stop Hobbies in Mount Joy to race in their season opener.

In the 2wd Buggy class he would finish 3rd overall, while in Stadium Truck and he would take the TQ and win!

Our next update in the state is from JConcepts driver Matt Adams. This past Sunday he traveled to Route 183 RC Raceway in Schuylkill Haven to compete in their Mountain Moonshine 50’s race. He signed up for three classes and would finish 3rd in Mod Late Model, 2nd in Midget Sprint along with a TQ and W in 360 Sprint!

On to Ohio we get our first update this week from team driver Tony Sosnowicz. Over the weekend he went to the city of Toledo to compete in a dirt oval event held at TARCAR, and when the dust had settled he would finish 2nd in Mod Late Model along with a TQ and win in 410 Sprint!

Our second update this week from Tony is from when he recently raced at Sandpit RC in Jonesville, MI for their Angie Mitchell Memorial race, and he would finish 2nd in Nitro 1/8 Buggy, plus grab the TQ and win in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Next, we head down to the Wiggins Training Facility in Oregon, IL to see how the team finished up at the recent Ridge Road Rumble/Justin Wiggins Memorial Race.

Starting with team pilot Tyler Aubart he let us know that he would finish the race with a 6th place finish in 1/8 nitro Buggy and 5th overall in 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Team driver Kyle King was also at this event and he would race to a 4th place finish in the Open 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

JC driver Larry Wright IV competed in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class where he finished 2nd overall!

Crossing the Mississippi River we now make our way to Send It R.C. Speedway in Adel, IA. This past weekend was their Stock Wars Event, and team driver David Fast would set the TQ in the 410 Sprint class!

In the main he would suffer a DNF with a lap car, but was still having fun and running fast that night!

Onward to Oklahoma we now stop in at Taylor Park Raceway in the city of Yukon. Last weekend was Round 2 of their points series, and team driver Billy Caldwell would just miss the bump spot to the big show in 360 Sprint, while over in the Midget Sprint class he would take the win!

Our next stop is at Arcor Raceway in Albuquerque, NM. Team driver Tony Hinojosa recently visited this track to compete in their Southwest Showdown where he would finish 2nd in both the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Truggy classes!

Now we fly out west to sunny California for our final reports this week. Starting with team driver Don Vinkemulder this past Saturday he went to the The Dirt in the city of Perris to race in the opening round of the TNS series where he finished 3rd overall in Intermediate 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Our final report is from team driver Jeff Guest who visited Rain-Man’s Hobby and Raceway in Bakersfield over the weekend. This track hosted Round 2 of the JBRL 1:10 series, and he would finish in 2nd place in the 40+ 13.5 2wd Buggy class!
