Race Team Update – May 2026 Week #4

From coast to coast and around the globe the JConcepts race team continues their winning streak for another week in May. Read about our continued success in this week’s Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report our east at Lake Waccamaw, NC where the RC Pro-Am took place. This event brought out 249 entries so let’ see how the team finished up starting with JConcepts driver Maddy Long.

She competed in 4 classes and came home with some solid results!

  • Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy = 2nd place
  • Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy = 3rd place
  • Open 1/8 Electric Truggy = 2nd place
  • Open 1/8 Nitro Truggy = TQ and 2nd place

Taking the win in the Open 1/8 Electric Truggy class was her tire teammate Garrett Hawbaker! It was also a podium sweep for the JC team as they were joined by Patrick Rossiter Jr. (3rd), Garrett McCutchan (4th) and Justin Simonson (5th)! Along with the win Garrett picked up the TQ in this class, plug he grabbed another TQ and 6th place finish in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy! Patrick would also finish 7th in Pro e buggy too!

Team driver Josh Parrish was also at this event and he would grab the 2nd podium spot in the Intermediate 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Team driver Ottavio Pieri would finish 5th in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and 2nd overall in Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy! Taking the TQ & W in the Intermediate 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes was his tire team mate Bradley Lingerman!

JC pilot Derrick Harris competed in both the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and Open 1/8 Electric Truggy classes, and when the dust had settled he would finish 14th in both!

Team driver Carter Bright signed up for the Sportsman 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes where he raced on to take the double victory! He also competed in a special Dash For Cash race where he won and took home $200!

Next, we head west to Bullet Town Rc in Milan, TN for our next report. Last weekend was their 18th Annual Mayhem trophy event, and team driver Randy Enger reported that he finished 2nd in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class along with a 1st place finish in 1/8 Electric Buggy! Taking 5th place in e buggy was fellow JC driver Jacob Reid!

Heading to the north we now stop in at River City Raceway in Peoria, IL. Last weekend was their Spring Showdown event, and team driver Cody Meiferdt would come home with the W in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Continuing further north we now stop in at Zero RC Raceway in Marshfield, WI. This facility hosted the 2026 Central Wisconsin Radio Controlled Solid Axle Monster Truck Championship of America, so let’s get some updates from the team starting with JC driver JJ Eaton. He competed in a plethora of classes at this event!

  • UltraMod = TQ, 1st and 2nd place
  • Retro = TQ and 3rd place
  • Mud Truck = 2nd place
  • SportMod = TQ
  • 2.2 = Finished in the quarterfinal rounds
  • ProMod = Finished in the quarterfinal rounds

Those are some great results and he also earns our coveted ‘ironman’ award this week for competing in the most classes at a single RC event!

Also crushing the competition at this event was team driver Geoff Ketler. He signed up for three classes and would finish 4th in ProMod, 2nd in the Mini Spec LMT class, plus the TQ and win in the LMT class!

Kicking it over to Kansas we now visit the town of El Dorado where Goat Farm RC is located. Last weekend they held their Kansas Nitro Showdown event, and team driver Colton Jones would finish 4th overall in Open 1/8 Electric Truggy! Joining him on the e truggy podium in 3rd place was fellow JC pilot John Kallies!

Also competing for the team was JC driver Jake Stoeltzing. He registered for two classes and would finish 5th in Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 4th place in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Our next stop is in the Pacific Northwest in Spokane, WA. Round 2 of the NCT (Northwest Championship Tour) a.k.a the Hank Perry 240 took place last weekend and this race saw 255 entries! Team driver Shane Preugschat was in attendance and he would set the TQ then suffer a DNF in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class, but he had better luck in 1/8 Nitro Truggy as he finished 3rd overall!

JConcpets driver Tony Corless was also at this race, and he would double-down with two victories in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes!

Now let’s get some updates from our international team. This past weekend the Victorian State Titles were held at the Keilor club in Melbourne, Australia which brought out nearly 200 entries! Team driver Lachlan Munday took the triple TQ and win in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes, plus Mod Stadium Truck! In the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes team driver Justin O’connell was a man on a mission as he doubled up with two TQs and wins as well!
