Race Team Update – June 2026 Week #4

The final weekend of racing in June is another rinse and repeat for the JConcepts race team as they continue to stack up wins around the nation. Read about our recent success in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out east at Insanity Race Track in Boonton, NJ. Last weekend they held their Vintage Shootout trophy event and team driver Mark Baldwin competed in three classes.

When the race was over he would finish 5th in the Y2K Buggy class, 2nd in the Vintage 2wd Buggy class along with the TQ and win in the Vintage Stadium Truck class!

On to Ohio we now visit Brown’s Hobby Shop & Raceway in Irondale. Last weekend they held their trophy race and team driver Wade Piggott would TQ the 1/8 Electric Buggy class then drive on to take the win along with the W in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Continuing to the west we now visit Finish Line Raceway in Hudson, IN. Last weekend this track hosted Round 2 of The Series, and team driver Tony Sosnowicz reported that he finished 4th in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class along with a 2nd place finish in 1/8 Nitro Buggy! Taking 2nd place in the e buggy class was his tire teammate Ilan Sanderson!

Crossing the state line we now visit Dream Fields Coliseum in Waterloo, IL. OffTrack R/C held their third event of the 2026 season there, and team driver Chris Parrish was busy crushing the competition. In the Retro Clod class he would finish as runner up in Bracket 1 and then a semi-final showing in Bracket 2 with his Bear Foot Racer replica! In the Sport Mod class he set the TQ and finished 2nd overall in Bracket 1, then in Bracket 2 he finished in the semi-finals which created enough points to win the overall in this class for the event! In the ProMod class he picked up the win in Bracket 1, while over in Bracket 2 he would finish as the runner up. With a 1st and a 2nd place finish for the day his Boss Fight truck won the overall in this class for the day too!

Moving north we now visit Wisconsin for a few updates from the team competing at different tracks. Starting with team driver Kc Belke this past weekend he was cutting a rug at Rug Burnerz RC Raceway in the city of Menasha for their Racer’s Appreciation trophy event. He competed in three classes with great results!

  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = TQ and 1st place
  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place
  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = TQ and 1st place

Our next update in the state comes to us courtesy of team driver Ryan Derenne. Last weekend he went to The Yard RC Raceway in Luxemburg for the 4th Round of their Summer Series.

After the dust had settled he would finish 9th in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class plus 3rd overall in Mod Stadium Truck!

Crossing the border we now visit Full Throttle RC Raceway in Foley, MN for our next update. This track recently held another round of their point series, and it was podium sweep for the JConcepts as team drivers Tony Sletten (2nd), Kyle Holmberg (1st) and Ben Humphrey (3rd) grabbed the top three spots!

Heading south on I-35 we now catch up with JC pilot David Fast. Last Friday he went to White Fox Speedway in Webster City, IA for their trophy event.

He competed in the 410 Sprint class where he would grab the TQ and win! The following night he went to Mirage Raceway Park in Fremont, NE to compete in another event where he finished 5th overall in 410 Sprint!

Staying in Nebraska we now head to the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex) in Omaha. Last weekend was Round 2 of their Summer series, and team driver David Peavler reported that he finished 3rd in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class along with the TQ and W in the 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy class! Locking up 2nd place in 40+ was his tire teammate Brian Cox!

Team driver Shane Alberico was also throwing down fast laps at this event as he finished 2nd overall in both the Expert 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

Heading south we pull over at the RC Pitstop and Raceway in Newton, KS. Last weekend was their Summer Smackdown trophy event, and team driver Korben Urban was smacking the competition around as he took the double TQ and win in the Mod and 17.5 2wd Buggy classes! Joining him on the 17.5 podium was fellow team driver Ken Peterson (5th) and his son Jace (4th)!

Heading south again we now visit Race Place located in Oklahoma City, OK. This past weekend was another round of their Summer Series, and team driver David Alford let us know he would grab the TQ and W in the 13.5 Stadium Truck class!

Shooting down to Texas we now visit Mike’s Gulf Coast Raceway in the city of Porter. Last weekend was the final round of the HARC (Houston Area RC) series, and team driver Joel Rodriguez would finish 4th in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! He was joined on the podium by fellow team drivers Phi Long Nguyen (2nd) and Brandon Rose (1st)!

Also competing at this event was team driver Brian Henn who reported he finished 2nd overall in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Moving over to Mississippi we now visit Saratoga-Flowood RC Raceway in the town of Magee. This past weekend they held their Bring the Heat race that saw 151 entries! Team driver William Ables competed in two classes, and he would TQ both the 40+ and Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class then go on to finish 2nd in pro e buggy plus picked up the win in 40+! Joining him on the 40+ podium was fellow JC driver Martin Harrison in 2nd place!

Now we cross the border and make our way to Thompson Valley RC Raceway in Kamloops, BC, Canada. This past weekend they held their 23rd Annual Kamloops Summer Classic that saw 143 entries! Team driver Peter Tozser was at this race and he would pick up the win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! He was joined on the podium by his daughter Brittany in 2nd and setting the TQ for this class was team driver Evan Roeth!

Speaking of Evan he would also set the TQ in Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1/8 Electric Truggy, then race on to pick up the W in both of those classes!
