Race Team Update – July 2026 Weeks #3 – #5

The JConcepts race team stays red hot on tracks around the world for the final few weeks of July. Read about our winning ways in this fresh edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out in sunny California. The team was putting in work at several tracks in the state, so let’s see how they finished up starting with team driver Jeremy Bunting. He recently competed at Round 4 of the Nor Cal RC Monster Trucks Points Series which took place at AMain Hobbies Outback Raceway in the city of Chico.

He would take the win in the Retro class with his “Carnage” Regulator chassis, and he also made the semi finals with his “Shotgun” REACTOR monster truck kit too!

Our next stop in the state is at SDRC Raceway in San Diego. There we find team driver Chris Raceles, and he let us know that he recently competed in their Point Break trophy event where he finished 3rd overall in the 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Our final report in Cali comes to us from team driver Randy Tanaka. He recently went to the city of Auburn where Auburn RC is located to sign up for their Golden State Dirt Invert race. When the dust had settled he would lock up 3rd place in the Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

Next, we shoot over to Texas for this quick update from JConcepts driver Joel Rodriguez. Recently he went to Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto to compete in their final round of their Road To The Worlds Series. He would grab 4th overall in the Expert Nitro Buggy class, and taking the W in this class was fellow team driver Dillon Caldwell!

Staying in the state we now get a report from team driver Kevin Mcnatt. He recently went to N-Control RC Racing Circuit in town of Dale to compete in the Lone Star Dirt Oval Series where he picked up the TQ and win in the SC Mod class!

Moving north we now visit Iowa to get some updates from the team competing at different tracks. Starting with JC pilot David Fast this past weekend he went to Send It R.C. Speedway in Adel to sign up for their The Meltdown dirt oval trophy race.

When the event wrapped up his competition would be the ones melting down as he netted the double TQ and W in both the Open Late Model and 410 Sprint Classes!

Heading down Highway 44 our next stop is at The RC Compound in Dallas Center. Recently they held a trophy event and JConcepts driver Brandon Kearney would finish 5th in Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy along with the TQ and win in the Open 1/8 Nitro Truggy class!

Heading up I-29 we now visit Bad Fast Hobbies in Sioux City. They recently held their American Shootout race and team driver Jake Wiggs unloaded on the competition with 3 TQs and 2 wins!

  • 17.5 2wd Buggy = TQ & 1st place
  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = 1st place
  • Mod 2wd Buggy = TQ & 2nd place
  • 13.5 4wd Buggy = TQ & 3rd place

He also earns our coveted ‘ironman’ award this week for competing in the most classes at a single RC event!

Heading further north we catch up with JC driver Ryan Derenne. About two weeks ago he went to The Yard RC Raceway in Luxemburg, WI to compete in Round 5 of their Summer Series.

When the race was over he would finish 7th overall in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class and 4th overall in Mod Stadium Truck!

Moving over to Michigan we now stop in at The Krater Dirt Oval Raceway in Ionia. This past weekend was another round of their points series, and team driver Adam Forist would lock up another TQ and win in the Open Late Model class!

On to Ohio we now visit TARCAR in the city Toledo. They recently held Round 2 of the Glass City Series, and team driver Tony Sosnowicz reported that he would finish 2nd in 1/8 Nitro Buggy, plus the TQ and 1st place in 1/8 Electric Buggy! Joining him on the e buggy podium in 3rd place was fellow JC driver Chuck Berg!

Working our way to West Virginia we now stop in at Altitude RC in Beckley. Not too long ago they held Round 4 of their Monday Night Mayhem series, and team driver Casey Bias would grab the double TQ and win in the Expert 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

His son Colton would also pick up the W in the Adult Novice 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Punching it over to Pennsylvania we now catch up with team driver Jonathan Sohl. He recently went to LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills to compete in their Super Cup trophy event. He finished up in the lower mains for Intermediate 1/8 Electric Buggy along with just missing out on the transfer spot from the B Main for 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Staying the state now get this next update from team driver Mark Baldwin.

Two weeks ago he went to Pit Stop Hobbies in Mount Joy to race in their Summer Sizzler Trophy race, and he was cooking that day as he finished 2nd in the Mod 2wd Buggy and Stadium Truck classes!

Next, we cross the border to get this quick update from team driver Peter Tozser. He recently went to R/C GEARS at Calgary, AB, Canada to compete in their 2026 Nitro Stampede where he finished 3rd overall in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of Australian team driver Jarod Ment. He recently went to Australia’s capital city Canberra to compete in Round 6 of the New South Wales Racing League, and he would leave the event with a 2nd place finish in Mod 2wd Buggy plus the win in Mod 4wd Buggy!
