Race Team Update – August 2026 Week #4

The JConcepts race team continues to stay red hot on tracks around the globe in the final weekend of racing in August. Read about what tracks we were winning at in this new edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out west in sunny California. Last weekend SDRC in San Diego held Round 2 of their Summer Series, and team driver Connor Esbeck competed in four classes with much success!

  • 13.5 Stadium Truck = 1st place
  • Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy = 1st place
  • Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy = 2nd place
  • Mod 2wd Buggy = 3rd place

Next, we make a diagonal to Dakota RC in Jamestown, ND. Last weekend was Round 5 of their Summer Points Series which saw nearly 100 entries! Team driver Marco Moreno competed in two classes, and he would suffer a DNF in the Mini Truggy A Main, but he bounced back in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class as he locked up 3rd place!

Our next update was submitted by JConcepts driver Ryan Derenne. This past weekend he raced at The Yard RC Raceway in Luxemburg, WI for their 25th Annual Corn Roast trophy race which saw 145 entries!

Unfortunately as the event got underway it would get rained out so the race was rescheduled for later in September. But, he will still was able to collect some hardware since they tallied up the points for the Summer Series, and he would finish 3rd in 1/8 Electric Truggy and 2nd place in Mod Stadium Truck!

Our next stop is at Jammers Raceway in Indianapolis, IN. This past weekend was their 5th and final round of their points series, and after the season points were tabulated JConcepts driver Tucker Mitchel would finish 1st in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!

On to Ohio we now catch up with JC driver Tony Sosnowicz. This past weekend he traveled to Rock Creek RC Complex in town of Rock Creek to compete in the finals for the Lake Erie Series. He signed up for two classes, and he would finish 2nd in 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1st place in 1/8 Nitro Buggy! When the season points were added up he would finish in the same positions for both classes too!

Also throwing down laps for the team at the finals was JConcepts driver Chuck Berg. He would finish in 3rd place for the 1/8 Electric Buggy class along with the W in 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy! After the points were added up he would also take home the season title 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Staying in the state we get our next update from team driver Bryson Furnish. He recently went to the HobbyTown Cincinnati RC Raceway in Cincinnati to compete in the finals of their Mini Buggy Series. He competed in three classes and would take the TQ and win in all of them!

  • Losi Mini-B Brushed = TQ and 1st place
  • Losi Mini-B Brushless = TQ and 1st place
  • Mini 4wd = TQ and 1st place

Crossing the state line we now head to Pennsylvania for a few updates from the team. Starting with team driver Mark Baldwin he reported that he recently went to Park Lane Hobbies in Pottstown to compete in their Red Dirt Rumble trophy race which brought out 168 entries!

He competed in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class and would finish in 3rd place!

Also racing at this event was his tire teammate David Longaker who finished 2nd overall in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Our next update from the state was submitted to us by team driver Matt Adams. This past weekend he went to Riverview RC Raceway in Jersey Shore to compete in the Barb Watkins Memorial. He registered for four classes and put in some solid results!

  • Traxxas Modified = TQ and 1st place
  • 360 Sprint = 1st place
  • Midget Sprint = TQ and DNF
  • Modified EDM = 3rd place

Sending it south we now land at the Tiltyard in Dayton, VA.

This track was host to Round 4 of VCS (Virginia Off-Road Championship Series), and team driver Brian Miskolczi reported that he finished 6th in 1/8 Electric Buggy along with a 3rd place finish in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

His son Layton was also laying down laps at this race, and he would finish 10th in 1/8 Electric Buggy along with a 4th place finish in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

Heading further south we now stop in at G3RC Raceway in Bessemer City, NC.

This past weekend they held their “Weekend Warrior” Trophy Race, and team driver Josh Parrish would lock up 2nd overall in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Heading further south we now get this report from JC pilot Jason Westfall. Last weekend he went to Rocket City Radio Controlled Race Club (RC3) in Huntsville, AL to race in Round 3 of the Snap Hard Racing League.

He competed in two classes and would finish 3rd in Mod 4wd Buggy along with the TQ and W in the Mod 2wd Buggy class!

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Dan Coller. This past weekend he traveled to Diamond Park in Melbourne, Australia to competed in Round 3 of the Wodonga Dirt GP. He raced in two classes and would finish 2nd overall in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes!
