Titanium is a racers best friend with the introduction of individual Top Hat LP titanium screws from JConcepts. An easy way to trim weight, the screws start with high-quality titanium material machined to tight tolerances making them durable, easy to use, and one of the most glamorous items to add to a racing vehicle. The JConcepts team wanted a design that wasn’t the usual or simply picked from a catalog, it was necessary to change the button head and cap head style into something unique. The top hat name was given for the look of the hex head appearing rather formal and once combined with available burnt blue or stealth black colors, looks extraordinary.
The LP style screw came about after Team Associated and other kit manufacturers started to include a larger diameter head screws in newer kit releases. The larger diameter of the head spreads the load out over a larger surface area and in many cases eliminating the need for washers. The head of the screw is 6.75mm diameter and low profile enough to fit under the Team Associated shock tower guards and several different areas on the latest kit builds. Many 1:10th off-road and on-road applications use these style screws for assembly, motor mounts, wing mounts, and dozens of other locations.
The individual LP screws contain four top hat screws in designated and miscellaneous lengths. The range of length, M3 x 6 to M3 x 22 can be chosen by the user to equip the vehicle of choice, directly where a titanium LP style screw is wanted or needed.
