Race Team Update – September 2026 Week #2

Two weekends are in the books for the JConcepts race team in this new month as they continue to grab wins around the world. Read all about our winning ways in this fresh edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report out in sunny California. There was a few different RC events taking place so let’s get our first update from team driver Mike Bufka.

He went to AMain RC Tracks in the city of Chico since they were hosting NorCal RC’s Summer Showdown, and he would take home the win in the Pro Mod class!

Now we head to San Diego where SDRC is located at. Last weekend was Round 3 of their Endless Summer Series, and team driver Connor Esbeck would finish 2nd in Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy and Stadium Truck along with the win in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy!

Also throwing down hot laps for the team was JC driver Chris Raceles. He raced in the 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy class and would take home the TQ and win!

Crossing the state line we now visit Whip It RC in Reno, NV. Last weekend was their 2026 Whip Fest trophy event, and team driver Joseph Levin would finish 4th in Mod 2wd buggy along with the TQ and W in the Mod 4wd Buggy class!

Also whipping the competition at this event was JC pilot Randy Tanaka as he grabbed the double TQ and win in the Mini Truggy and Pro4 Short Course Truck classes!

Shooting over to Texas we now get this next report from team driver Brian Henn. This past weekend he visited Oatesified Off-Road RC Raceway in San Antonio to compete in the MSM Southern Showdown where he finished 2nd overall in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Heading north we now visit Send It R.C. Speedway at Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel, IA. There we find team driver David Fast who competed in their Shootout trophy event last weekend. When the dust had settled he would finish 5th in 410 Sprint and 3rd overall in the Open Late Model class!

Heading further north on I-35 we now stop in at Raced at Full Throttle RC Raceway in Foley, MN. Last weekend was their season finale, and team driver Ben Humphrey would leave his mark as he finished 2nd in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class along with the win in 1/8 Nitro Truggy!

Now we head east and stop in at Maximus RC Raceway in Seabrook, NH. Last weekend this track held their Carpet What’s Up trophy race, and team driver Matt Perault showed the competition what’s up as he set the TQ and then finished 2nd in Mod 2wd Buggy, plus he would pick up the win in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class!

Taking the win in the Mod 2wd Buggy class was fellow JC driver John Cravotta, and he also picked up the TQ and win in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class as well!

Now we head to Pennsylvania and stop in the town of Ashland where the Central PA RC Monster Trucks were running their latest event. Team driver Scott Welch reported that he had a solid day as he made the top 5 in multiple classes!

  • 2wd Monster Truck = 1st place
  • Sportod = 3rd and 4th place
  • Challenger = 4th place
  • Retro = 4th place

Joining him on the 2wd podium was fellow JC driver Sean Benfer!

Speaking of Sean he also had the competition flipping out as he finished 3rd in ProMod, 2nd in Challenger and 1st place in Sportmod!

JConcepts pilot JJ Eaton was also in attendance, and he would grab the double TQ and W in both the ProMod and Challenger classes!

Working our way over to West Virginia we now check in with team driver Casey Bias. This past Monday was Round 7 of the Monday Night Mayhem series at Altitude RC in city of Beckley, and he would double down in both the Expert 17.5 and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes with the the TQ and win!

His son Colton would lock up the final podium spot in the Intermediate 17.5 2wd Buggy class!

Now we head to Virginia to catch up with the team competing at a few different events. This past weekend the Virginia R/C Motorsports held an event in the city of Richmond. Team driver Joe Tate was in attendance, and he would finish strong in several classes!

  • Mini = 2nd place
  • Meg Mud = 3rd place
  • 2.2 = 3rd place
  • ProMod = 3rd place


Also crushing the competition at this event was his tire team mate Chris Roberts who took the win in the Retro class!

Our next update from the state was submitted to us by team driver Bryson Furnish. This past weekend he went to Adrenaline RC Raceway in Winchester for the 2026 Vintage Off-Road Nationals, and he came home with great results!

  • Classic = TQ and 1st place
  • Wheelie = 2nd place
  • Stadium Truck = 2nd place
  • 2wd Buggy = 8th place
  • 4wd Buggy = DNF

Our final report this week is courtesy of team driver Peter Seckold. This past weekend he went to the Taree Showgrounds in New South Wales, Australia to compete in the King of the Manning trophy event. When the event was in the books he would come home with the TQ and win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class, plus he won the dash for cash event too!
