This past Saturday was the 2nd annual Stock Worlds race held at The Ohio RC Factory.
Stock 2wd Buggy would be a hotly contested class with a lot of the areas fast guys in attendance. Qualifying was very close with Team Associated/JConcepts young gun Nathan Clark taking the TQ by less than 1/10th of a second on the last lap of the last heat. The mains were looking to be an epic battle. Nathan Clark was also running 13.5 4wd Buggy and Stock Stadium Truck. Nathan had solid qualifying in both classes but came up just short of TQ and would be starting from the #2 spot in both classes.
The mains would be run as double A mains with Motocross style scoring that gave more weight to the 2nd main instead of regular tiebreakers. A1 main for 2wd Buggy was a super close race and a long battle between Nathan Clark and Spencer Heckert. Heckert made an epic jump pass to take the A1 win. In 4wd A1, Nathan and Spencer had another tight battle going until Nathan clipped a pipe and turned his car into 3 wheel drive. Somehow Nathan was able to stay on the track and managed to fight off several challenges to grab 2nd place. The A1 main in Stock Stadium Truck was another close battle. This time Nathan battled with Eric Clark the entire race. Eric ended up taking the win with Nathan finishing 2nd for the 3rd time.
With the double A mains being scored Motocross style Nathan was still in the hunt for 3 Wins. The 2nd 2wd A main was another close battle with Nathan holding on for the main win taking the overall! In 4wd Nathan and Spencer had another close battle the entire race with Spencer taking the win and overall and Nathan ending up with a hard fought 2nd. There were so many close races all day and the A2 main for Stock Stadium Truck did not disappoint. Nathan had another close race and long battle with Eric Clark. The two Associated/JConcepts drivers battled the entire race with each driver leading a couple of times. In the end, Nathan took the main and another overall win!
Nathan ran Gold Dirt Webs on all of his cars all day long. Nathan also used JConcepts bodies and wings on all 3 of his cars.
