JConcepts Clash – Day 1 Qualifiers
Over 240 entries from all over America and Canada converged to Lake Park for the 2010 JConcepts Clash. Kenny “Scarecrow” Holmes kept everything moving and round 1 and 2 of qualifying is in the books. With temperatures in the mid 50’s and overcast most of the day gave everyone a colder start than expected.
2wd Open Buggy has JR Mitch sitting on top with a 11/5:08.31 and a 11/5:06.42 for his first two runs but Ryan Maifield is close behind with a 11/5:15.39 and a 11/5:01.89. Jason Ruona, Ryan Eckert and Tanner Denney round out the top five in 2wd open.
In 1/8 Buggy Expert, Ryan Maifield is sitting on top with JR Mitch in the second spot and Billy Easton running third.
Pro 2 Open SCT has JR Mitch on top with a best 11/5:13.96, Ryan Maifield struggled a bit but is running second with Brian Kinwald and Ryan Eckert rounding out the top four in that class.
In 1/8 Buggy Sportsman, Matt Mehring holds onto the top spot with a 11/5:14.53 his first run but Billy England and Joey “Batman” Perez are close behind.
Day 2 qualifying runs today December 11th and will start out with dense fog warnings but the sun should break through early and warm up the track mid day for some fast action this afternoon.
