Las dos horas de Bogotá

Event: Las dos horas de Bogotá
Location: Bogota, Colombia
Race Reporter: Esteban Palacio

Since 2009, the first race of the year in Bogota has been the “Las dos horas de Bogotá” which is translated as “Bogotá’s two hour race”. This race is held at JConcepts Team Driver Esteban Palacio’s local club track and is always considered a very special event. For this one race, racers are allowed to choose any type of vehicle they want (Truggy, Buggy or Monster Truck). The rules are simple; the winner is the driver who accumulates the most laps during the two-hour endurance race. This year Estaban raced his MBX6T with JConcepts Crosshairs (Yellow) truggy tires along with JConcepts wing, body, and wheels. After the very intense two-hour endurance race, Esteban managed to complete 150 laps and ended up 9 laps ahead of second place. One of the biggest advantages that Esteban had over the rest of the field was that he was able to run the entire two-hour race on one set of tires. Other teams needed to make two or three pit stops to change tires, while Esteban was able to stay on the track and complete more laps. The longevity and performance of the JConcepts Crosshair tire was unmatched the entire weekend.
