2012 Montpellier GP – Update

Greetings from frigid France.

With temps, well I don’t know, it is cold. Forecasted highs are calling for mid to high 40’s. The rental ride says -6c in the morning. Many layers of cloths is the fashion statement of the day, along with hats, and gloves. Other than that, things are going well. The track started off looser than expected, but is starting to come around. With the multi-surface track, getting the layout down is only half the task. Knowing what is good traction or slick is still challenging drivers with the controlled format practice. Four rounds of 5 minute heats are all of the track time that every driver gets. One trick that Ryan has down, on the polished concrete corner, placing the front tire on the concrete curb helping the car rotate, as well as accelerate forward. Sure, sounds easy Ryan, whatever you say.

Qualifiers begin in the morning. Tune in for more racing action. After my fingers thaw out so the iPad will work. 🙂
