FullSizeRenderBrian Valles and Alex Sturgeon win big at the 2014 Short Course Showdown Nationwide Tour Finals.

Hobby Plex is the race facility at the Hobbytown USA here in Omaha, Ne. They were the host of the 2014 Short Course Showdown Nationwide Tour Finals. JConcepts is one of the major sponsors of the Showdown and have been from the very first year back in 2010. Dave Duncan made the trip from Florida to represent JConcepts and help all the team attending the race. David Fast, Brian Valles, Tom Rinderknecht and Zac Gastelum where just a few of the team drivers that made the trip to race the event. David Fast was running 3 classes total, Mod 2wd Buggy with his Team Associated B5M, Mod 4wd Buggy with his Team Associated B44.3 and Mod 4wd SCT with his Tekno SCT410. Brian Valles was running 1 class, Stock 2wd Buggy with his TLR 22 2.0. Dave Duncan was running 1 class, Stock 2wd SCT with his Team Associated SC10.2. Practice was all day Friday from 10am to 7pm. It was a fresh track layout and was grooving up nicely all day. All the team drivers and others quickly found that super soft “green” Dirt Webs in the rear of all the cars was the ticket. Fronts just depended on the driver and what feel they wanted on each car.

Saturday morning the doors opened at 7am with open practice till 9am. Round 1 of 4 full qualifiers started at 10am after a short drivers meeting. We ran 3 full rounds on Saturday. All the team drivers and others on JConcepts tires where up in the top of the A resorts for round 4 Sunday morning.

Sunday morning doors opened at 7am with a short open practice just to get the track run in till 7:50am. Round 4 started at 8am. After the final round was complete, Alex Sturgeon was TQ in mod 4wd SCT, Brian Valles was TQ in Stock 2wd Buggy and Dave Duncan was TQ in Stock 2wd SCT. At this event they run only single A Mains with making them just a little longer at 7 minutes total. Brian Valles in stock 2wd Buggy had a great run with a few bobbles and was able to get back to the front and take the win with his JConcepts equipped TLR 22 2.0 with Dirt Webs rear and Bar Code fronts. Dave Duncan after starting on the TQ spot had some racing luck and finished 2nd with his JConcepts equipped Team Associated SC10.2 with Dirt Webs rears and Pressure Point fronts. Alex Sturgeon in Mod 4wd SCt lead the race from tone to tone and took the win with his JConcepts Equipped TLR SCTE 2.0 with Dirt Webs front and rear. David Fast had a great showing with finishing 2nd in Mod 4wd SCT with his JConcepts equipped Tekno SCT410 with Dirt Webs front and rear. Finishing 3rd in Mod 4wd Buggy with his JConcepts equipped Team Associated B44.4 with Dirt Webs front and rear. Finishing 4th in Mod 2wd Buggy with his JConcepts equipped B5M with Dirt Webs front and rear.
