Just like the temps outside, the wins keep falling for the JConcepts racing team! Please read this week’s Race Team Update to see the latest results from our drivers!
Let’s start this week’s report down in Waukomis, OK at Spring Creek R/C Speedway. This track hosted the T.A.R.A (Tornado Alley Racing Association) Series “The Finale” and we had several drivers in attendance so let’s see how they did. Team driver Shane Wheeler checks in to report that he competed in three classes and qualified for the A Main for all of them! At the end of the race he finished 8th in Midwest Mod, 4th in Wingless Sprint and 2nd in Outlaw 410 Sprint! After the series points were calculated he would end up 4th overall in the series for Outlaw 410 Sprint and 3rd in Wingless Sprint! Aiding him was the JConcepts Ellipses in the Blue compound.
Also at the “The Finale” was team mate Noel Cerda. After the points were calculated he would take 3rd place in the SC Mod class while running on Hazard wheels with spec class tires! He also finished 1st overall in the Outlaw 410 Sprint class while competing on Aqua compound Ellipses in the rear, Green compound Ellipses in the front and 9 Shot wheels!
JConcepts driver Kevin Lenderman was also racing that weekend in the Street Stock and SC Mod classes. He would TQ and end up 2nd in the Street Stock class competing on Aqua compound Ellipses on all four corners and white Mono wheels. In the SC Mod class he started 2nd for the A Main and took the win! He would also finish 2nd overall for the series in this class too!
Now let’s go east into Arkansas to check in with team driver Braxten Culley. He was in Barling at GS Hobby for their 2020 Walking Dead trophy race and he reported that he took the TQ and win in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes! He ran JConcepts Nessi and Swaggers tires on both cars along with F2 bodies. Joining him on the podium in both classes was fellow JC driver J.R. Mitch!
Now let’s fly down to Florida to check in with JConcepts driver Dustin Spallone. He was in Wesley Chapel doing some monster truck racing at the Wesley Chapel Pumpkin Smash. His Traxxas Stampede was running on JConcepts Renegades Jr. 2.2 tires while his other truck used JCT tires mounted on Tribute wheels! He said he was able to take a few racing and freestyle wins throughout the weekend!
Now let’s head up the coast into South Carolina to check in with JC driver Logan Cowick who was in Sumter competing at the ROAR Region 3 race hosted at Sumter RC Raceway. He said he competed in the 1/8 Pro Nitro and Electric Buggy classes and would qualify and finish 4th in the E Buggy class and also qualify and finish 3rd in the nitro class! He said he also used Green compound Stalkers, Bullet wheels and a S15 body shell.
Continuing northeast let’s stop in Oakland Mills, PA which is the home of LCRC Raceway. Team driver Matt Adams was there competing at the 12th Annual Halloween Race which saw 179 entries! He raced in the Mod 2wd SCT class and is happy to report that he took the TQ and win! His winning SC6.1 used the JConcepts Sprinters in the Green compound along with Hazard wheels, a Hi-Flow body, a Fin Turnbuckle Kit and the SC6.1 Rear Ball-Stud Mount.
Now let’s head west and stop in at Brickhouse RC Raceway in Roann, IN. There we will find team driver Tyler Jones who competed at their season opener in the Mod Sprint class and took the TQ and win using Green compound Sprinters!
Now let’s head into Michigan to check in with JC driver Brian Borle. He was in Macomb racing at RC One Raceway for their Chiller Thriller single day trophy event. He competed in the Mod 2wd Buggy class and finished in 2nd place while running on Silver compound Ellipse tires!
Now let’s hop over into Minnesota to check in with team driver Joe Scaramell. He was in Browerville at the Motodome (aka MotoCity Raceway) for the final race of the 2020 MNRC Off-Road Racing Series. After the season points were added up Joe would take the overall title for the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class! His winning ride used the JConcepts Gold compound Ellipses, a F2I wing and Silencer body.
Now let’s fly out west into sunny San Diego, CA to check in with the team at Round 2 of the JBRL (Jimmy Babcock Racing League) hosted by SDRC. Team driver Austin Riley checks in to let us know he took 3rd place in the 21.5 2wd Buggy class while competing on JConcepts Octagons, rims, wings and body.
He was joined on the podium with JC mate Chase Raymond who took the double win in the 21.5 2wd Buggy and 17.5 Stadium Truck classes! He used Silver compound Ellipses, a F2 and Finnisher body and a Carpet | Astro High-Clearance Rear Wing.
JC driver Chris Raymond reports that he finished in 3rd overall in the 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy class while also running on Silver compound Ellipses, a F2 body and a Carpet | Astro High-Clearance Rear Wing.
Finally, team driver Doug Lariviere reports that he raced in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes and at the end of the race day he would finish 2nd in the 17.5 class and 3rd in the 13.5 class! He said he used Silver compound ellipses on both rides that weekend and joining him on the podium in 1st place for both classes was team mate Matthew Gonzales!
