Now when you hear the words Hawk and Animal, maybe the first image that comes to your mind is the iconic professional wrestling tag team, The Road Warriors. If you were a wrestling fan during the 1980s into the new millennium you couldn’t miss their unique look inspired by the hit movie of 1981, Mad Max 2 (a.k.a. The Road Warrior). Their rough and tough appearance in the ring was unmistakable and they raised the ante for professional wrestling by introducing to the world the first tag team tandem maneuver known as the Doomsday Device.
When bashing your short course vehicle in mixed surface elements you need a tire just as tough and durable as The Road Warriors. This is possible now thanks to the JConcepts engineering team with the release of this new tire tag team for all your bashing needs. Let’s first look at the Hawks tire.
This ribbed tire is intended to be used on the front of your truck to help you steer through loose surfaces like dirt and sand. The multi-rib tire uses a directional design to help zip and rip through the loam and slit dirt in a straight line. It is narrower than a common short course tire to help it achieve that full scale look as well.
But, it will still fit any common 3.0″ x 2.2″ wheel and uses our long lasting Yellow compound.
Also included is a green colored open cell insert to help your vehicle on any tough landings.

The next tire is a different ‘animal’ in terms of the overall design. The Animal tire is intended to be used on the rear of your short course truck to help you power through dirt, sand and possibly even the snow.
The unique carcass features strategically placed upper paddles that incorporate a scoop shape to help you plow forward through loose terrain.
Just like the Hawk, this tire comes in our durable and grippy Yellow compound and are sold either as un-mounted tires or pre-mounted on our Tremor wheels.
Both versions of the Animal include a black colored closed cell insert to help you rebound from jump landings on any surface.
And if you own a Traxxas Slash 4×4 then you will want two sets of these tires for both the front and rear so you can cut through any loose surfaces and take advantage of the 4 wheel peel.
