In this Product Spotlight we take a closer look at one of the latest options under the growing RM2 product line, the RM2 Red Engine Tuning Screwdriver.
A good tuning screwdriver is a nitro racer’s best friend when it comes to getting their engine properly tuned on race day. However, unlike most other tuning screwdrivers, this one can be disassembled so it can be stored easier in your toolbox.
You can see here is the same size as most common tuning screwdrivers.
But since the tip is removable, it allows more flexibility in storing when not in use which could include placing it inside your pocket if you are pitting someone during a race for example.
When it needs to go into action, simply place the “spring steel” assembled tip and adapter back into the aluminum handle.
A magnet is seated inside the handle itself which will snap the tip into place, and it is also strong enough to hold it securely even if you were to drop the assembled screwdriver in pit lane.
Taking a closer look at the handle, you can see that it has been anodized in RM2 red and features silver highlighting.
A laser etched JConcepts logo of authenticity has also been applied to the side and an injected molded black JC plug is located in the top side of the handle too.
When you compare it to the driver that comes with the Hex Driver Wrench Set you can see they are identical minus the coloring.
Again this tuning screwdriver can access all the needles on your engine when you need to fine tune it.
And the length is perfect when you need to adjust your high speed needle with the body still on too.
