2022 Visions Off-Road Championships

The JConcepts crew packed up and headed out to Jay, Oklahoma for the Visions Off-Road Championships. This was the first RC event ever held at the Mid-America Outdoor Facility and the team with the facility as well as the LiveRC crew did not disappoint.

Mid-America Outdoors is a 3000+ Acre Off-Road park with a short course track, U4 Off-Road course, rock bouncer course, switch back course, pit-bike track, concert venues, restaurants, bars, and an epic pool which includes a lazy river, splash pad, play ground, and lounge! This year they decided to build an RC track and host a $30,000 invitational.

Naturally the payout and the proposed production of a 1 hour MavTV special brought out the stiffest of competition for the Invitational class as well as a few open class standouts looking to join the Invite ranks.

The event started out with a practice day for the invitational drivers to get comfortable with the track as well as seeding for the open class racers.

Open Seeding:

Nitro Buggy:
1st Phi-Long Nguyen
3rd Kaden Fuller
4th Braxten Culley
6th Tyler Hooks
8th Austin Wick

Ebuggy:

The event featured an interesting way of filling out the final four invitational spots, Each TQ driver from each round of Open Buggy qualifying would move to Invite as well as the overall TQ after the 3 rounds. Each driver would receive $1,000. JConcepts drivers took 3 of the 4 spots.

Mason Fuller would take the overall TQ in Open Ebuggy as well as the win in the class taking home $1,000 of his own for his achievements. He would best the rest taking a 3 second win over Ty Tessmann as well as Ryan Pavidis.

Finally the big money was given out on Saturday following the three invitational main events. Ryan Maifield took the 1st main event win with Jared Wiggins taking the 2nd win, and Ty Tessmann winning the 3rd. Maifield was in great position to take the overall win before trouble struck in the 2nd main and an unfortunate incident occurred in the 3rd main. Ultimately he would fall out of contention in what was otherwise a strong showing. All of the JConcepts drivers fought as hard as the could on the tough surface and ended up with the following results. Congratulations to Jared Wiggins on his Invitational win.
