Race Team Update – July 2022 Week #1

A new month equals the same great results as the JConcepts race team continues to rack up wins! Read about our winning ways in this July edition of the Race Team Update!

We start this week’s report up in the Pacific Northwest at DieHard RC in Snohomish, WA. Team driver Andrew Beauchamp recently competed there and locked up two 2nd place finishes in 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy! He used Bullet wheels mounted to Reflex tires on both vehicles, and joining him on the nitro buggy podium in 3rd place was his teammate Tyler Wilbur!

Heading south we catch up with JConcepts driver Brandon Foote. He recently competed at Superior RC in Junction City, OR for the 6th and final round of their carpet series. He would take the TQ and win in the Mod 2wd Buggy class while using Fuzz Bite tires on all four corners!

Staying out west we move into sunny California for our next report. Team driver Joseph Levin recently competed at LSR Speedway in Sacramento and took wins in both the Expert 17.5 2wd and Expert 13.5 4wd Buggy classes! Both rides used Silver compound Ellipses sanded to slicks, Mono wheels, a B6.3 Front Wing, a Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 6.5″ Rear Wing and a Fin Titanium Turnbuckle Set.

Moving over to New Mexico we check in with team driver Tony Hinojosa. He recently competed at the Annual King Of The Hill race at Overlook Raceway in Los Alamos. He would finish 6th in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class and lock up the final podium spot in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Shooting over to Texas let’s get a few updates from the team competing at different tracks. Starting with JC driver Edwin Ortiz he reports that he recently raced at GoldStar Hobbies and Raceway in Arlington and finished 2nd in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class while using Fuzz Bites up front with Twin Pins in the rear!

His teammate Kevin Mcnatt competed at Indy RC World in Garland for their Robert Simmons Memorial event. He would finish 2nd overall in the SC Mod class while using Green compound Sprinters on the right, Blue compound Sprinters on the left and they were all mounted to 9-Shot wheels!

JConcepts driver Robert Chapman recently attended Round 6 of the Red River Shootout Series at Shaws RC Track in Ardmore, OK. He finished 6th in 1/8 Nitro Truggy and 4th in 1/8 Nitro Buggy! He used Green compound Reflex tires on his truck and Blue compound Kosmos tires on his buggy. Joining him on the buggy podium was fellow JConcepts driver Tyler Hooks in 3rd place!

Moving north into Oklahoma we get our next update from team driver David Alford. He recently raced at Race Place RC in Norman and finished 3rd overall in the 21.5 Touring car class with a A2R (A-One Racer 2) body in the Ultralight option!

Cutting over to the “Show-Me State” we meet up with JC driver Matthew Pyle. He recently raced at Round 3 of the Annual In The Dirt Series at Chicken Dinner Raceway in the city of Neosho. He competed in the both the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes and finished 5th in buggy and took the TQ and W in truggy! Both vehicles used Blue compound Reflex tires.

Staying in Missouri we head over to Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs. There we find JConcepts driver Adam Kasch who recently attended Round 3 of their off-road series. After the racing completed for that day he would finish 4th in Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy and 2nd in 1/8 Electric Truggy! His buggy used Green compound Reflex tires while his truggy used the same tire but in the Blue compound.

Sending it north now to the “The Land of 10,000 Lakes” we get a few racing updates from JC driver Thor Ott. The last few weeks he competed at a few different events that were put on by Thunder Road RC Raceway in Waite Park on both their indoor and outdoor tracks in the Mod 2wd Buggy class. He would finish 2nd in both racing events while using a variety of products:

  • Fuzz Bite tires
  • Swagger tires
  • Lockness tires
  • Mono wheels
  • P2 body

Flying out east we land at RCHR (Radio Control Hobbies & Raceway) in Waterbury, CT. Team driver Eric Bresnahan recently competed on their on-road track in the 21.5 Touring car class on their outdoor asphalt surface. He would finish 2nd overall while using a A2R (A-One Racer 2) lid!

Moving down the coast our next update comes to us courtesy of JC driver Dave McEwen. He recently raced at Thunder Alley RC Speedway in Lucama, NC for their Friday Night Features event. He would lock up two 2nd place finishes in both the 17.5 2wd Buggy and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes while using the following goodies:

  • Green compound Octagons
  • Mono rims
  • F2 shell
  • A Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7″ Rear Wing
  • B6.3 Fin Titanium Front Axle

Heading east we get our next update from team driver Izriah Osborne. He recently competed at Bullet Town RC in Milan, TN in the 1/8 Electric Buggy class. He would set the TQ and take the win while using Blue compound Stalkers in qualifying before switching over to the Green compound for the main!

Moving down to Mississippi we get our next update from JC driver Phi-Long Nguyen. He recently attended the warm up race for Bring The Heat 2022 at Saratoga-Flowood RC Raceway in Magee. He would take the win in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class while using a Silencer shell and Blue compound Kosmos tires!

Now let’s head over to Warehouse Hobby Raceway in Helena, AL for a few team updates. Starting with team driver Randy Enger he reports that he competed in both the Mod 2wd Buggy and 1/8 Electric Buggy classes. In the e buggy class he would set the TQ, but unfortunately he ran into an issue that kept him from running the main. His luck was better in mod 2wd as he took the win! Both of vehicles used Green compound ReHabs and Detox tires.

Staying in the warehouse, team driver Danny Smith reported that he qualified and finished 3rd while competing in the 1/ Electric Buggy class too!

Flying down to Florida we catch up with JC driver Joshua Vicidomini. He recently competed at Sundancers RC Raceway in Port Saint Lucie, and he grabbed the double TQ and win in the 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy classes! Aiding him were Green compound Reflexes, S15 shells and a F2I wing.

Our final report this week comes to us courtesy of team driver Sebastien Mure. He reported that he and fellow team driver Clément Boda competed at the recent 1/8 Off-Road European Championship that was held at Barcelos Buggy Arena. Clément would finish 3rd in the Junior class while using Aqua compound Ellipses, a Silencer shell and 17MM Finnisher Serrated / Magnetic Wheel Nuts!
