The Losi Mini-B has taken the RC world by storm since its release. It’s at an affordable price point and still has a lot of customizable options. For the first time, we had a Mini 2wd Modified Buggy class at the JConcepts Summer Indoor Nationals! Alex Sturgeon pioneered the class in our series, and won the first race! Today, we’re giving you an inside look at his winning buggy!
First things first, he has the vehicle decked out with the JConcepts S2 Body. He also completed the look using the C|T-Type rear wing that’s included with the body. He has it painted up in his signature scheme paired with the JConcepts sticker and the Hobbyplex one!
For tires, you’ll notice he has on the brand new JConcepts Mini Ellipses! We were excited to launch the ellipse tire for all of these indoor dirt tracks! They come pre-mounted on your choice of white or yellow wheels. Right before this race, we also launched our Mini Fin Turnbuckles. We wanted to mention it for those spec’ing out their minis!
Here are some up-close shots of the rear/front shocks and setup.
Now we’re taking you under the hood of this beast! It’s a tight space, but Alex got all the essentials in. He’s running the Hobbywing EZRun 18A Sensorless Brushless ESC and the 12T 7800kv motor. For the servo, he installed the Spectrum SX107. Additionally, he has the Spectrum DX3 transmitter and receiver. The battery you see tucked away is the Gens Ace 800mah 45c battery.

Awesome! I have a Mini T myself and it would be great to see custom options for the T.
