The Beast of the East event was held this past weekend at World of RC Parts, Thunder Alley Speedway in Lucama, North Carolina. The race was held on a special indoor 1/8th scale sized track made specifically for the event by combining the track’s 1/10th scale track and dirt oval. Racers from all over the East Coast were in attendance to run both 1/10th scale and 1/8th scale with a total of 280 entries.
The unique surface made tire decisions a challenge but most racers opted for Silver Smoothies in 1/10th scale, and Silver Ghosted Ellipse, Rehabs, or Relapse in 1/8th scale.
