In this edition of the JConcepts Friday5 we talk to Indiana team driver, Tyler Swift!
1. When did you get your start in RC racing? Did you bash cars at first or jumped right into the racing scene?
Just over five years ago I started off-road racing my Dad’s Traxxas Slash, then a few months later I got my first 2wd buggy kit for Christmas.
2. If you had to guess where the 1/10 off-road electric scene is ten years from now, would you expect to see more dirt, carpet, or turf tracks and why?
In 10 years from now I can see the majority of 1/10 off-road tracks going to carpet, given multiple tracks have just recently switched to carpet.
3. What class do you prefer to compete in today, and why?
My favorite class to race is 1/10 17.5 2wd Buggy because the competition is always so close, and there is little room to make mistakes.
4. In your opinion, when heading to the track what is the JConcepts product that is a must have on race day and why?
The Black Aluminum Ride Height and Camber Gauges are definitely a must have whenever I’m at the track.
5. Name one thing people might be surprised to know about you.
One thing that people might be surprised to know about me is that I can ride wheelies on my mountain bike.
